Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 41

Jonathan tensed up, grabbing her chin and speaking in a hoarse voice, "Stop seducing me, I'm a man!"

In this enclosed, stuffy space, he was a man, and she was a woman constantly tempting him.

Estelle lifted her head, her water-like eyes filled with a hint of brightness, she slowly parted her lips, "Help me!"

Jonathan's breath caught, his grip on her face growing tighter, and his voice sank even lower. "Do you understand the gravity of your words?"

"Mmm," Estelle mumbled, her response a mix of uncertainty and involuntary reflex.

Jonathan stared intently into her eyes, "I'm your..."

He didn't finish his words, as she suddenly tiptoed and kissed him on the lips.

She felt that if she didn't do something, she'd be devoured by those insects and die.

Her past experiences and training told her that no matter what, protecting her own life came first — taking care of herself was being responsible to herself and others.

Besides, she had once helped this man in front of her.

He should help her this time.

Jonathan remained motionless, his eyes growing even darker beneath the night sky. He closed his eyes, gently releasing her hands, and spoke in a hoarse voice, "No!"

His reply was so low, it was unclear if he was warning Estelle or himself.

"Why not?" Estelle leaned against the bathroom wall, her voice weak but calm, staring at the man without blinking. Seeing his refusal, she struggled, "If you don't agree, I'll make love with someone else!"

She pushed him away and walked out, but after only two steps, her arm was suddenly grabbed, and her body was embraced.

She clung tightly to the man's neck, feeling the tension in his arm muscles.
