Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 483

"I won't have a boyfriend! And even if I did, he wouldn't dare intrude when another girl is taking a shower!" Emily's voice turned icy as she spoke.

"What are you implying?" Mathilda narrowed her eyes, clearly offended. "What do you mean by that?"

"I believe I've made myself quite clear!" Emily disregarded Mathilda's irritated expression and proceeded to head upstairs.

Entering her room, she brushed her hair, put on a coat, and as she made her way out, she overheard Mathilda arguing with her boyfriend.

Choosing not to engage, Emily simply descended the stairs and made her way to Charlie's car.

Charlie started the engine and drove her to Serenity Heights in silence. Neither of them uttered a word throughout the entire journey.

Charlie remained quiet, and Emily purposefully maintained her distance.

They entered a private room, and before Emily could turn around to ask Estelle, candles on the table suddenly lit up, and a slow piano rendition of "Happy Birthday" began to play.

Emily stood there dumbstruck, suddenly realizing that today was her birthday!

The lights in the room brightened, and a beautifully set table with a cake and roses awaited her. Streamers and balloons adorned the room, and Estelle walked over with a bouquet of flowers, smiling. "Emily, happy birthday!"

Emily was touched. "Thank you, Estelle!"

Estelle smiled, "The idea and the decorations were all Charlie's doing. If you want to thank someone, thank him!"

Charlie did want to give Emily a nice birthday, but after seeing her with Carson, his enthusiasm had waned. He just smiled, "The restaurant staff did the decorations, I didn't have to do much. No need to thank me!"

Jonathan took out a prepared gift and handed it to Emily, "Happy birthday!"

Emily glanced at the box and knew it was pricey. She shook her head, "I'm already very grateful that you're celebrating my birthday with me. I don't need any gifts!"

Estelle took the box and placed it in her hands, "This is from both my uncle and me. You have to accept it!"
