Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 491

After a while, Jonathan came to a stop and gently touched the corner of Estelle's lips with his finger. He whispered, "Ella, you knew those people were bullying Emily downstairs, didn't you? If you decide to help her again, please don't rush in alone."

Estelle was taken aback. "I'm sorry," she replied.

Jonathan's gaze was intense. "I don't want your apology, I just want you to remember that you have a boyfriend now."

Estelle insisted. "I can handle it on my own."

Before she could finish her sentence, she noticed Jonathan's furrowed brow and he shrugged slightly. "I'll be more cautious next time," he acknowledged.

"Good!" Jonathan laughed, asking, "You've been trained in fighting skills, haven't you?"

Estelle slowly said, "I surprised you with my performance just now, didn't I?"

Jonathan looked at her, "It was a bit unexpected, but I'm mostly worried and curious. I thought about whether to ask you about this the whole way here. I want to know about your past but I'm afraid to ask something that you don't want to remember."

Estelle held onto Jonathan's shirt tightly, closing her eyes for a brief moment. When she looked up, she spoke, "Can I tell you later?"

Jonathan responded, his tone tinged with frustration, "You know everything about me, yet you've kept so many secrets from me. It's not fair!"

Estelle's gaze softened, yet her resolve remained steadfast. "I don't have secrets from you, just a part of my past. Please give me some time to figure out how to share it with you."

Jonathan leaned down to kiss her, then lifted her up in his arms and carried her into the bedroom. "I don't care about your past; I only care about our future together," he declared.

The next day, Estelle went to work.

It was her first day at work, and Jonathan wanted to take her there personally. Estelle had to give up on some stuff to make him agree to let her go alone.

Jonathan helped her choose a white T-shirt and a grayish-white thin sweater on the outside, "You're a designer assistant, so you don't have to dress too formally. Just be casual and comfortable!"

He touched her hair and asked, "Don't hang out after work and come home early, okay?"

Estelle laughed, "Dear uncle, do you really see me as a child? It's not my first day at work, I started working a long time ago!"
