Find Me In Your Labyrinth novel Chapter 74

The laughter and chatter from the first floor seeped through the door in waves; inside the room, it was all shadows and silence. Estelle could clearly hear the man's breathing, and in an instant, her blood rushed and her heart raced.

The wall behind her back was icy cool, but her chest was burning hot. The mix of cold and heat made her feel a moment of unbearable dizziness, even making it difficult for her to breathe.

The man finally stopped, his hand still braced against the wall. He leaned down to her ear, his voice low and emotionless. "At crucial moments, you sure do love to call for your uncle."

Estelle took a deep breath, knowing that he would bring this up.

Not sure if he was angry or not, she lowered her voice and said slowly, "My grandpa told me that when you face difficulties, if there's a shortcut, don't be stubborn."

The man seemed to let out a low chuckle, his tone neither warm nor cold. "Why didn't you call Manley?"

Estelle lightly pinched the corner of his clothes, "Didn't you see he's doing it on purpose? He's trying to get back at me."

"Since you already knew, why did you still come with him?"

"I owe him a favor."

Jonathan looked down at the girl's beautiful face, "Because of the Noel incident?"

Estelle looked up in astonishment, "How did you know?"

After she said it, she realized that she had called him that night near Blue Oasis, and he must have checked afterward.

Jonathan just said in a deep voice, "Don't worry about Noel and his friends. They won't spill the beans, and the police won't find anything to pin on you."

When Estelle realized that he had already taken care of everything for her, she couldn't help but smile and a warm feeling filled her heart.

Before she could speak, the man continued to whisper in her ear, "Stay away from Manley. I don't have a habit of sharing my bed partner with others."
