From Sneers to Cheers: Anthea’s Ascent (Anthea ) novel Chapter 429

Karen flashed a mischievous grin at Anthea, "Men should totally be our personal movers!"

Sherman, the designated 'mover': "..."

Stepping off the yacht, they were greeted by the sight of tall, robust palm trees lining the beach.

The sun blazed overhead.

The ripe coconuts hanging from the trees were particularly enticing under the bright sun.

"Look, coconuts!" Adah, being from the landlocked heartlands, rarely saw the ocean, let alone wild coconut trees. Her excitement was palpable.

"I'll give climbing a shot," Anthea declared, rolling up her sleeves to reveal her porcelain-like wrists.

Karen looked up at the daunting height of the trees and grabbed Anthea's hand, "No way! It's too risky for a few coconuts. What if you break a leg? Sherman, you go!"

Sherman: "..." So it's okay if he breaks a leg? Really?

Anthea chuckled, "Actually, we don't have to climb."

With that, she picked up a few stones from the ground, aimed at the coconuts, and threw them with just the right amount of force.

Thwack, thwack, thwack—

The stones hit their targets perfectly, and the coconuts fell to the ground.

Karen and Adah were stunned.

"Ann, you're amazing!"

"Annie, you're incredible!"

Anthea responded modestly, "I'm alright, third best in the world."

Sherman turned his gaze, unexpectedly caught in her radiant smile.

Thump—

His heart skipped a beat, an uncontrollable flutter that felt like a heavy knock.

It was an odd sensation.

Sherman shifted his gaze, feeling increasingly uneasy.

His 'condition' seemed to be getting worse.

It looked like he'd need to seek Anthea's help soon, perhaps for some traditional remedies.
