My mind was in a state of chaos, and I shouldn't make any decision right now. I decided to wait until the next day.

"Heh, okay." Benjamin didn't seem to mind. He then reminded me flatly, "Emma, don't forget that you're the one who needs me."

He was right. I was the one who needed him, but I was still taking my time to consider his offer.

"Rest early," Benjamin said and left. As I couldn't sleep at all, I looked around the room.

The walls and furniture were of cool colours, and there was a noble vibe to the room. As I turned to look at Benjamin's navy suit jacket, there was a surge of warmth in my heart.

I held it in my arms and inhaled his scent. He smelled faintly like mint, and it was a fresh and crisp aroma.

It reminded me of the blue sky, clearing my mind off all the troubles that had been plaguing me.

My cell phone rang, jolting me out of my reverie. I grabbed it and when I saw the caller display, my heart sank.

Joel's number kept jumping onto the screen, I hesitated for a long time and finally picked up and asked: "For Christ's sake, what's with the hurry?"

"Emma, did anything happen to you?" Joel's tone was slightly concerned, and he seemed to know what I was going to say, so before I said anything, he continued: "Don't lie to me and say nothing happened, I was at your place and found the..."

It was impossible for Joel to find the gestational sac because I wrapped it in a paper towel and threw it in the trash can, and I still haven't figured out how Benjamin knew that I had a miscarriage?
