Gorgeous Couple’s Sweet Love novel Chapter 109

It was Ramiro.

Yesterday, he forced me to save his number and also got mine. I hung it up and said to Zack, "You can summon Victoria this afternoon."

After all, we'd already got James.

"James didn't specifically identify her, so we can't issue an arrest warrant for now, but we can get her to the police station for ordinary inquiries." Zack paused and reminded me, "The Heaney family has a lawyer team, so if she is brought to the police station, she will be released soon."

With a mysterious smile, I said, "James will identify her soon."

Zack did not ask me why. He looked at James indifferently and then left the interrogation room. After Zack left, I said to James, "Teresa planned my fall five years ago. Since you know this, you should have also been involved in it. So James, you can identify not only Victoria, but also her sister Teresa."

James said frankly, "I remember everything that happened five years ago very clearly. It was Victoria who planned it! And after you disappeared, I knew that she handed over the rest of the things to Janse, Janse Solange."

I knew it. Janse introduced me to Steve.

I said, "If you know about all these things, then you must have been someone very important when you were working for Teresa. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that it was because you knew too much that the Heaney family had no place for you, so Victoria faked a car accident."

"I did know a lot of things and I knew that day would come when they wanted me out of the picture. But I really can't remember the exact reason they wanted to get rid of me." James frowned heavily. He was silent for a while and said, "It's probably very difficult to testify against Victoria, but I can testify against Teresa with what happened that year."

James paused and said, "I am the lackey of the Heaney family. I have done a lot of bad things for them, so I am not a good person! I have been nothing but a burden to my parents for the past five years so I want nothing but to bring down the Heaney family. That is the last thing I can do for society."

I took a pen and recorded what James said. After hearing what he had to say, I realized how cunning Teresa was.

As the eldest daughter of the Heaney family, Teresa was the one who represented the Heaney family and was the one who did most of the work for the family's business.

The reason why Teresa was married to someone else was not only the result of what the Dunn family did but also because the Heaney family itself wanted her to marry that man. The man was a well- known entrepreneur in City B and he promised to invest in the Heaney Group if Teresa agreed to marry him.

At that time, the Heaney family's business foundation was not as solid as the Dunn family's. The investment would be a good opportunity. Teresa's father advised her like this, "Since you can't marry Zack, why not do something that is really useful for your family? The Dunn family won't give you anything even if you did marry Benjamin, but Aaron is different. He is willing to invest in our company. Tera, as the daughter of the Heaney family, you should understand what I mean."

How could Teresa not understand?

She also agreed in her heart that since she couldn't marry Zack, she would rather marry a man who was useful to the Heaney family.

James said, "After Teresa married Aaron, she saw you dating Benjamin. She was angry. When she knew that Zack was your exboyfriend, she went completely mad. She wanted to let you know that Benjamin loved you, but he loved her more. She kept finding as many ways she could to let you know that and hoped that you would leave him."

Teresa's thoughts were simple. No one else could get what she did not get.

For example, Benjamin and Zack.

"One step at a time, she pushed you to the edge of the cliff and let Benjamin and Zack make a choice at the same time. At that time, Zack chose you, and Benjamin chose her."

James's words were like a sharp knife stabbing into my heart. I remembered that Benjamin told me that it was he who asked Zack to save me.

I remembered he said that Zack had not been able to make it in time.

But who knew?!

It was he who gave me up willingly and he blamed it all on Zack.

That lying sack of sh*t!

The choice of the two men had hurt the hearts of the two women. Teresa liked Zack, but it turned out that it was Benjamin who had saved her.

I loved Benjamin, but it turned out that it was Zack who saved me.

If they were to make that choice again, who would Benjamin choose to save? And what about Zack?

I felt that the answer was so clear but also so vague.

I asked sorrowfully, "James, what was your job when you worked for Teresa?"

James replied, "Personal assistant and bodyguard."

No wonder he knew it so clearly.

Victoria's warrant didn't come through, but Teresa's did. In the interrogation room, I looked at Teresa's calm face and said in a calm voice, "James is going to testify against you."

Teresa asked indifferently, "Is that so?"

I said, "Yes."

She asked, "I want to see Zack."

"I'm the one in charge of your case," I said in refusal.

Teresa gave a faint smile and did not reply.

It suddenly opened the door of the interrogation room. I turned my head and saw Janse, Sean, and Benjamin beside Bob.

Benjamin glanced at me. I cocked my head and asked Bob coldly, "What are these people doing? Don't you know this is a police interrogation?"

Bob replied softly, "They bailed her out."

Benjamin turned sideways and left. Sean winked at me and left as well. I turned back to see Teresa, who was sneering at me.

She seemed to be laughing at me for thinking I could get her this time.

Teresa left very easily, and she had only been in the police station for no more than ten minutes. After they left, Bob consoled me and said, "There's no way we can do, not even Zack. The Dunns, Heaneys, and the Solanges were all pressing down on this."

I raised my head and asked, "That's it?"

Teresa was just gonna walk away like this?

Bob said disconsolately, "Yes, that's it. And don't think that there's anything you can do."

"If Zack didn't let her go, he would've been fired."
