Brayden seemed to have sobered up a bit.
He stood up and said, "Kerri, I'm seriously starting to wonder if that kid is some secret love child of yours. You're even willing to trade my son for him."
Kerri was completely speechless.
What a paranoid man.
Brayden pressed on, "Who is that kid? What's your relationship with him?"
Kerri pushed Brayden away, "Brayden, can you stop freaking out? That kid is four years old and our son is also four years old. You think I can pop out two kids in a year like some superwoman?"
Kerri was really pissed off.
But she knew if she didn't clear things up, this drunk man would keep spouting nonsense.
Brayden paused for a moment, then suddenly laughed, "So you finally admit that Sprague is our son?"
Kerri was taken aback.
Still, she replied grumpily, "Brayden, I don't have time to argue with you. Give me the boy, his family is still waiting in the hospital."
Brayden sat back down on the couch, stretching comfortably, "Jared already took that boy to your hospital."
Kerri was shocked, "Jared?"
Brayden casually replied, "He was here drinking too. Said he saw the kid in Manhattan, wanted to meet the parents, so he took the kid directly to your hospital. They should be on the way now."
Fear gripped Kerri.
How could such a coincidence happen?
Nocturne was now with Jared.
Did Jared suspect something and want to meet the parents?
Kerri was utterly confused.
Brayden grabbed Kerri's arm and pulled her onto his lap.
Kerri lost her balance and landed on Brayden's legs.
