Agnes had poured out years of pent-up emotions, crying until there were no more tears left.

Once she had composed herself, Ryder handed her a box of tissues.

"Sorry, I lost myself there," Agnes said, her eyes downcast as she accepted the tissues.

Ryder replied, "Now that everything's out in the open with her, you need to be on your guard."

"I will," Agnes nodded.

"And what's your plan?" Ryder asked.

Agnes shrugged, "I'm not sure yet. I know she's responsible for my parents' death, but it's been so many years. It's hard to find solid evidence."

Ryder said, "If it was intentional, there must be evidence. Didn't she and my Uncle Berlin tamper with your dad's car? We should start our investigation from there."

Agnes suddenly remembered something. A name she had heard from Laura and Berlin – Vernon. He was Berlin's trusted aide.

"Do you know this Vernon guy?" Agnes asked.

"I think he's Berlin's secretary. He's been with him for many years," Ryder replied.
