Heartstrings on Fire novel Chapter 720

Agnes barely had time to find her footing, and she toppled right into someone's arms.

Just by the man's scent, she knew it was Jared.

Agnes cursed in her mind. She hadn't expected Jared to barge in and wreck everything at this very moment.

Everyone present seemed to gasp in shock. They had no idea what was happening.

"Agnes, I won't allow it. You're not marrying anyone else." Jared's angry roar echoed through the hall.

Just then, all the lights in the hall came on. Everything was laid bare in front of the guests, and all people put on shocked looks.

Some French guests didn't understand what Jared had just said, and they were busy gossiping and asking their acquaintances who could speak English for translations.

Agnes felt like her heart sank, thinking, “Jared, can't you just let me play out this scene in peace? How are we supposed to wrap this up now?”

Agnes turned her gaze to Kearney, who was stoic, standing there with no discernible expression, but there was a glint in his eyes behind his glasses.

Jared saw the shock on Agnes' face, and her eyes searching for Kearney. His chest was filled with even more anger.

At this moment, all she cared about was him and his feelings? A raging fire seemed to burn in Jared's chest. He had already lost his sanity, so he didn't mind going a little crazier.

Jared wrapped one arm around Agnes' waist, and with the other hand, he held the back of her head and kissed her passionately again.

There were gasps of surprise all around, and countless murmurs filled with confusion.

Agnes had her eyes wide open. Even with years of experience in handling sudden events as a reporter, she was taken aback. Now, seeing Jared's face so close to hers, and the lights above her head... Agnes' mind was a mess.
