After lunch, Lilith sent a message to Avery, [Ben has suspected someone, but he wouldn't tell me who it is but don't worry. I found out that he had called Chad to discuss the matter with him. So, Chad must know something. Go and talk to Chad.]
When they were buying peppers, Lilith lied and said that she had not brought her phone, so she got Ben to pay.
Ben took his phone out and unlocked it, and she immediately snatched his phone from him. She pretended to accidentally open his recent phone records and saw that the most recent phone call was with Chad.
Ben might look like a mature and smart man, but in Lilith's eyes, he was nothing
but an old man. She had many ways to deal with him.
She had only been with him for a few days and already she was able to get some firsthand news.
In Bridgedale, Avery's phone lit up when the message arrived. It shone upon her sleeping face. She did not wake up.
She had come home quite late and had no time to train, so she took half a sleeping pill before going to bed. If she did not take her sleeping pills, she would not be able to sleep.
No matter what life lessons she understood and preached, as long as she could not find Elliot, her heart felt like a huge chunk of it was missing.
When she woke up in the morning, she flipped the covers aside and got down from
the bed. She found a cup and poured herself a cup of water.
Her throat was so dry it felt like it was burning. After drinking, she felt better.
She returned to her bedroom to pick up her phone. She first saw the message from Mike.
[Hayden is on break. I'll take the two of them to see Shea.]
Avery immediately replied, [Okay, safe travels.]
