When Avery heard the name, a sense of familiarity overwhelmed her.
She had heard of that name before but could not match the face to the name.
"I remember!" she suddenly said in a low voice. "They all call him Gary!"
"Yes. Him. Gary Gould."
"I don't like him, and I told Elliot to stay away from him. He hates me for it. He even got a lady to come over to tell me to leave Elliot." At that thought, she took a deep breath. "If Elliot is really with him, I'm afraid I won’t be able to get him back. He knows that I don't get along with Gary."
Chad looked troubled. "Actually, the problem right now is not whether you can
get him back or not, but knowing whether he is safe, and how is he faring. If he is with Gary, as long as he is still alive and well, it doesn't matter."
"Hmm. Do you know where Gary is currently at? Which country?" Avery planned to go look for him.
"Gary has investments all over the world. He doesn’t have a fixed base, but I know that he started in Ylore," Chad said. "If you're going to Ylore, don't go alone. The laws there are very different from Aryadelle. It isn't very safe too. If you head there, you have to have your bodyguard with you at all times."
"Okay, I understand."
At the hospital, Mike brought the two children to visit Shea. When they entered Shea's ward, Mike pulled Wesley outside to ask about Shea's condition.
"Her current condition is quite stable, but there might be signs of rejection later," Wesley said.
"Oh. She is so thin. I almost couldn't recognize her."
Not only was Mike shocked, but also Hayden and Layla were shocked too.
