His Ex-Wife Is A Billionaire? novel Chapter 208

"Hurrah for Mr. Jareth!!"

"Damn! Jareth is quite the showman! I'm definitely getting a membership at Sapphire Nights Club!"

"I'm renewing my membership for another two years! Mr. Jareth is the real deal!"

The patrons were deeply moved and incredibly excited.

Lily received a message from the sales department and was told that tonight's revenue was the highest since the club's opening!

Although Jareth was extremely wealthy, he was not a mindless millionaire.

His generous treat tonight may seem like a waste, but it actually boosted his popularity, increased the club's reputation, and stimulated customer consumption.

Three birds with one stone!

"You are so extravagant." Marilla lowered her long eyelashes, biting her lip shyly.

"What? Are you worried about my money?" Jareth raised an eyebrow playfully.

For her, he had spent quite a fortune tonight.

But he enjoyed it, and he hadn't felt this satisfied in a long time.

He couldn't tell if he was trying to please her or himself.

Marilla blinked her bright eyes, nodding gently.

"Funny. I've had countless women, and they all couldn't wait for me to spend money on them. Yet, you're worried about my spending."

Jareth leaned against the railing, glancing at her blushing face, his alluring smile deepening. "So, do you want to manage my finances in the future, little one?"

His words were a bit ambiguous due to his drunken haze.

They were standing very close.

Marilla didn't quite understand the underlying meaning of his words, but she could clearly feel the warm breath from his nose brushing her blushing ear, which was both comfortable and ticklish, making her heart flutter.

"I'm not a bank. I don't want to manage your money."

"It's not just banks that can manage my money, Marilla."

Jareth lightly touched her soft hair, finding it hard to let go.

"Why aren't you wearing your hair in curls anymore? I thought it was cute."

Marilla's heart ached, she turned away with tears in her eyes.

"I don't like curls."

"You don't?" He looked surprised.

As her silky hair slipped through his fingers, he felt a pang of emptiness in his heart.

"I don't like curls, but you can call me whatever you want. Because you saved me and helped me find my teddy bear tonight, so." Marilla slightly lifted her face, her eyes shining brightly as she gazed at him. "I'm grateful to you. You can do anything you want."

Do anything you want?

An unknown warmth spread through Jareth's heart, and his breath hitched.

If it were any other woman, he would think it was a blatant seduction.

But coming from Marilla, it was as pure and clean as a clear spring flowing into his heart.

"Mr. Jareth."

At that moment, a waiter came in with a tray holding a bottle of red wine and two wine glasses. "This is a fine wine that Mr. Fredric brought back from France. Please enjoy it with the lady."

Jareth nodded, and the waiter left, closing the door behind him.

Marilla's eyes lit up at the sight of the red wine!

"Shall we have a drink?" Jareth saw through her little scheme, smiling with narrowed eyes.

"Can we?" Marilla's eyes were wide open, showing her eagerness.

"Of course, I can tell you like wine. Otherwise, last time." Jareth stopped mid-sentence, remembering what happened in the bushes that night. He cleared his throat to dispel the heat rising in his body.
