News of her return sent Aviana bounding down the stairs like a gust of wind,

Evadne rushed forward, and the two women embraced tightly, "I can't thank you enough for what you've done this time."

"Oh, hush now, I'm just relieved you two don't hold it against me. I was scared out of my wits!"

Aviana's eyes shimmered with unshed tears, her hand tapping her chest as if to calm her racing heart, "Thank goodness Lionel managed to pull some strings. If that guy had landed Mr. Gordon behind bars, dragging your man into this mess and getting him in hot water, I would have been beside myself! How could I ever face you both after that?"

"Don't be silly, even if you hadn't stepped in, we would've found a way to spring Mr. Gordon."

Evadne's eyes softened as she gently patted Aviana's back, "S-Star Group is such a behemoth in Elmsworth, with its many members. How could they possibly keep track of everything?"

"People just aren't what they used to be!"

Aviana's eyes held a fiery indignation as she shook her head, "Mr. Griffith's losing his grip with age! Without Lionel holding the fort, S-Star Group would've crumbled long ago! But even Lionel can't be everywhere at once. He's been trying to clean up S-Star Group's act, to steer the ship straight. But with the other old-timers playing their own games, none of them respecting his authority, every step he takes is an uphill battle."

After a moment of silence, Evadne asked softly, "Aviana, have you thought about visiting Mr. Griffith again? If I remember correctly, it's been a while since you've been back."

Aviana’s lashes fluttered, veiling her thoughts.

"Now that Mr. Griffith is too weak to run S-Star Group, Aviana, don't you want to go back and lend him a hand?"

"Even though I'm Mark's only daughter, the moment I chose Emeric over my family, I cut all ties with S-Star Group. What becomes of them doesn't concern me." Aviana's gaze turned cold again, a clear sign of resistance.
