His Secret Spoiled Wife (Lily and Alexander) novel Chapter 1673

As Lily was forthright and everyone else was staring, Dashiell felt humiliated, as his expression turned cold. “What the hell do you mean? Lily, you better clarify yourself!”

“It’s rather clear. Don’t you get it?” Lily looked at him. “I believe you know better than I do why the mice died.”

“You’re saying I poisoned your mice?” Dashiell laughed coldly. “What a joke! Everyone knows we belong to different departments, and I hardly come over here, let alone sabotage your experiment. Besides, your place is locked. How am I supposed to get in?”

“Every laboratory in the research area has a lock, but we all have access,” Lily retorted, “Why couldn’t you?”

“We have access to every lab except yours,” After saying so, Dashiell frowned and abruptly stopped.

Lily smiled. “How did you know? Have you tried it before?”

“I-I heard…” Dashiell looked a bit discomposed. “Don’t blame your incompetence on me! I have nothing to do with your mice dying! The problem lies with your herbal medicine!”

“Please stop evading the question. I’m asking you how you know you can’t access my lab. I think not many here know about this, am I right?”

The others exchange looks. They genuinely were not aware of it. Each laboratory would lock itself whenever someone entered or exited. Still, as the workers had input their fingerprints and irises into the system, they could freely enter any laboratory except Lily’s.

It was indeed unusual, but it was a condition Lily had discussed with Dr. Blanc when she first joined. One might think she was paranoid, but she had to be careful after learning her lessons. Therefore, her laboratory needed her fingerprints and iris to enter, and only Dr. Blanc could go in besides Lily.

“I discovered it unintentionally. So what? You’re accusing me just because of this?” Upset, Dashiell said eloquently, “Fine! Since others can’t access your lab, how did I get in? If I sabotaged you, how did I go into your lab?”

He had a point. As no one else had access to the laboratory, he could not have entered it even if Dashiell knew it.

Lily held up her hands and smiled. “You’re right! Still, collecting one’s fingerprint here isn’t difficult, right?”

“Accuse me all you want, but do you have proof?” Dashiell chuckled coldly twice. “What a load of crap! You can at least be honest and admit you’re nothing more than a charlatan. Don’t you think you’re being absurd coming up with such a lousy excuse now that your experiment has failed?”

“Proof?” Lily raised her brow and curled her lips. “I have proof!”

She fished out her phone and tapped on the screen a few times. Soon, a video played on it.
