Lily stared up at him, unable to respond.

“Frankly speaking, I’m not patient, and children are troublesome. However, I’d be looking forward to them if they were our own.” He held her hand and asked, “Why? Do you want a child now?”

Gazing into his eyes, Lily wanted to let out a sigh. Whether she wanted the child or not, it was already here.

Depending on how much he wanted the child, she figured he would either be overjoyed or battling with the same questions she had. She had not expected him to be so calm.

Seeing her bewildered look, Alexander smiled and touched her nose. “I’m going to tell you something, but don’t be angry.”
