Although there was a frown on her face, she knew that Nathaniel was right. Not only did she know Naomi, but the two were also good friends. After so many years, Eloise never expected this friendship to come in handy.
"Mom, I'm not trying to set you up. You're aware of what's going on. Our fate is on the line, and we're all in the same boat. Of course, we'd have to work together, don't you think so?" Nathaniel asked as he drove.
Eloise shifted herself and let the shadows engulf her as she sighed.
She had never thought the day would come when she and her two children would unite and
fight against her husband and his second family. At first, all she wanted was to be a trophy wife and find a good family for her daughter to marry into so she could retire in peace.
However, this was all wishful thinking at this point. Joseph was going to take everything she had to raise another family. How could Eloise willingly let him do that?
"I've already helped you with Naomi. Are you sure you can do the rest on your own?" She was still concerned.
Nathaniel focused on driving, and did not take her question to heart. "Mom, why do you sound so much like Arianna? Don't worry. I've arranged everything, and he’ll experience his crash at an important meeting tomorrow.“
He said with a sardonic grin, "For such a big accident to happen in front of so many shareholders and high-level executives, he wouldn't be able to climb another level higher even if he managed to salvage the project.”
Nathaniel had everything planned out. After being involved in the ups and downs of the business world for the past few years, he learned a lot. Now, it was time to teach someone else a lesson.
The blonde-haired brat even dared to yell at Nathaniel because he believed he was in charge of everything.
