The weather was excellent today, with the gentle breeze, fluffy clouds, and warm sun shining from the window into the big meeting room. Almost everyone had arrived, except…
"What’s taking so long?" Joseph was starting to lose his patience. After all, he had been waiting here for half an hour, yet the person was still not there.
"I can't get through to him, and no one's answering." The secretary shook his head in embarrassment.
"Send someone to look for him, be it at his house or places he would be. We must find him no matter what!" Joseph growled. He was on the verge of losing his temper. However, he knew it was not the right time to let loose. There were more important things waiting to be done.
Thus, he turned around and calmed himself down before re-entering the meeting room. "I'm sorry for keeping everyone waiting. Shall we start?"
"Are we not going to wait for Mr. Damian?" Arianna, who was sitting nearest to the main chair, asked casually.
Hearing this, Joseph froze. At the same time, others began to chime in, "That's right! This isn't just any meeting. We are keen on hearing Mr. Damian's report on the new project. It's already 9:30 AM. Where is he? Why hasn't he arrived yet? Did something happen to him?"
"No, no such thing!" Joseph replied hastily. "I think he had been working too hard on this project that he overslept. I hope we can empathize with him. I've sent someone to look for him. Let's all start first, and once he arrives, we'll get him to share the new project report. Of course, I'm sure we've all seen the results. All of you have a copy of the document, don’t you? The results are gratifying!"
Upon saying that, he let out a hearty laugh. Profit was the most important thing regarding a product's performance. He could note this project as a success. Not only did it have a considerable profit return, but it also got off to a good start.
It instilled a sense of hope in them. Joseph felt it would continue to grow, and the possibility of this product hitting international waters was high.
