Heather turned around and walked toward the door after finishing what she had intended to say. Noticing that she had made up her mind, Ralph decided not to press the matter and just followed behind her all the way to the car park.
He called out to her, “Heather!”
He placed his hand on the car door and trapped her between his body and the car. He looked at her lovingly and said, “Do you have something against me?”
“No, no, I don’t,” Heather shook her head and looked slightly flustered.
Ralph saw her expression and could hardly believe his eyes. The eldest daughter of the Riggs family was known to be fierce and unwavering. There was widespread recognition of her and her henchmen, the Light-Shadow killers. How was it possible that such a scary person could reveal such an innocent expression?
However, as Ralph thought about it, just because she was scary in some ways did not mean that she was experienced in relationships. It's possible that she had not spent much time being involved in relationships because she was so outstanding at running the family business. This would explain why she was so nervous.
This innocent girl may very well be flustered when faced with such a charming man like himself. Otherwise, how else could he explain her reaction? Just a while ago, after causing such a colossal ruckus, she still did not choose to beat him up. This could only mean that she had fallen deeply in love with him. She was just a shy little thing!
Ralph’s ego was immediately inflated after he came to that conclusion. He was swelling with confidence and combed his hair back in a manner that he thought was charming. “If you have nothing against me, does this mean that you’re...very happy with me?”
“N-No,” She swallowed nervously. Heather had a fair and cute face. Even though she was not the most beautiful woman he had seen, something about her attracted him.
“Heather, I really like you! No, I love you. You might not believe me, but the first time I saw you, I fell in love with you. Even if you weren’t from the Riggs family, I would’ve also fallen in love with you. This has nothing to do with your power or family background. I’m saying this because I want to ask if you like me too?” He looked at her with adoring eyes.
Heather stared at him with doe-like eyes, simultaneously looking innocent and slightly surprised. She was tense, as she protectively placed her arms in front of her chest and balled up both her hands into fists.
“C-Could you stand further away?” She asked softly, “I can’t breathe.”
“You can’t breathe?” Ralph raised an eyebrow and smirked, then lowered his lips onto her soft ones.
Heather was taken aback. She stood there as stiff as a log, unresponsive. However, she did not push him away. She just stood very still, allowing him to deepen the kiss. She could almost taste the wine on his lips, which was a strange sensation.
Ralph, on the other hand, was intoxicated. He was confident that she did not reject him because she was in love with him. He could not help but notice that her lips were soft and sweet, like honey.
She was so different from the other women he had shared a kiss with, and he did not taste any lipstick on her. Instead, he wanted more, as he tried to deepen the kiss by trying to pry her lips open with his tongue…
He was like a man in the desert who found a well after wandering around for a long time and wanted more.
Smack!
Ralph felt a slap on his cheek, and he was pushed back by Heather. Then she turned around and ran.
