‘Arrogant and inexperienced, huh? That’s refreshing. It’s not often people call me those things.’
Bonnie raised her brows, looking slightly mischievous. “I have nothing to say if that’s what you think of me.”
Billy thought she was about to give up on the interview. He wanted to tell someone to escort her out of the conference room when she added, “If that’s the case, I guess I’ll have to let my actions speak for me.”
She turned on the screen and asked, “I only need to complete this test to get the job, right? Do I have a time limit?”
‘Someone as young as this Barrett guy can’t possibly solve my advanced technicians’ tests. If he won’t take my advice, I might as well let him challenge himself. I don’t need to argue. He’ll bow to my technicians when he fails the test.’
“There is no time limit. You’ll get the job if you pass the test,” Billy said before watching “Bonnie” work.
The technicians chattered amongst themselves.
“Do you believe this brat thinks he’s better than us? He’s bold enough to talk trash when he’s still wet behind the ears. How absurd!”
“You’re right. I can already imagine how stupid he’ll look when he sees the test.”
“He’s young and inexperienced. Do you guys think he’ll cry when he fails the test?”
“Hahaha! It’ll be fun to see him cry like a baby!”
The technicians joined in the laughter and looked at Bonnie mockingly. Meanwhile, Billy heard their exchange and chuckled as he glanced sideways at Bonnie.
He thought she would be embarrassed after hearing the chatter. To his surprise, she was unfazed as she typed away at frightening speed. Bonnie’s fingers moved so fast that they were almost a blur.
Billy realized she was not in a panic. On the contrary, she was confident and graceful.
‘Is this young man a hidden gem?’
With that in mind, Billy’s expression turned solemn. He continued to watch, not wanting to blink.
‘It’ll be perfect if he turns out to be an incredible tech expert. He’s what I need in my organization. That said, he’s young and looks nothing like an expert. I hope he’s a dark horse and not pretending to be something he’s not.’
