The technicians noticed their boss’s expression and turned to look at Bonnie’s fingers. They noticed how fast she was typing.
One of them grumbled, “Mr. Billy, can’t you tell this brat is just pretending? We have decades of experience under our belts. Not even we can solve the tests this quickly. This Barrett guy is too young, yet he’s taking the test so quickly. I think he’s just typing random things.”
“Yeah, the previous interviewees were pulling their hair and hesitantly typing away. They couldn’t even complete the tests, but this Barrett guy is typing away?”
“He’s probably worried we’ll mock him and is trying his best to preserve his pride. He’s trying to buy himself some time and making it look like he knows what he’s doing.”
Billy previously thought Bonnie was an expert when he saw how proficient she was. However, his anticipation dropped once he heard his technicians’ analysis.
‘They have a point. Barrett appears reckless compared to the previous interviewees. My expectations for him were too high, and all I’ll get in return is disappointment.’
With that in mind, Billy grew immensely disappointed and lost interest in watching Bonnie work. After all, it would not change the fact that she was not the tech expert he had hoped for.
Suddenly, Bonnie said, “There, I completed the test. Please check it and see if I passed your little test.”
‘It’s only been five minutes. How did he complete the tests my techs spent days crafting? That’s impossible!’
The technicians were just as stunned. Then, one of them laughed scornfully, “Hahaha! Did you even understand the test? Are you sure you did it correctly, or are you just pulling our legs?”
“Just leave, kid. We’ll save you the embarrassment and skip checking your answers.”
“It’s no big deal if you couldn’t solve our tests. After all, many before you have tried and failed. You were wrong to pretend to understand the tests when you didn’t.”
“Get lost, brat! You’re wasting our time when we can be testing the next interviewee.”
They were confident Bonnie could not solve their tests.
She grinned but did not bother explaining herself. Then, she tapped on the monitor and turned the screen to them. “You’ll want to look at my work first before speaking any further.”
The technicians did not think much of what Bonnie said. Even so, they looked at the monitor to see how miserably she did on the test. Suddenly, they were shocked when they realized she had solved all ten equations flawlessly.
Many even suspected they were hallucinating. They rubbed their eyes and checked the equations countless times.
“H-How is this guy so good?! Did he solve every equation?! We spent days preparing these tests!”
“I-I can’t believe he’s this capable. We were wrong for judging a book by its cover. We shouldn’t have underestimated him just because he’s young.”
