Marrlin woke up once, but soon fell asleep again.
Isaac knew that it was because she was in poor health. He didn't need to worry too much her after she had a check-up, and she only needed to nurse her body in the future. Ben hired two nice carers for Marrlin, but Issac stayed in the hospital with her in person. Only in this way could he rest assured.
At noon, James sent him lunch. Although it was a home-cooked meal, the food was exquisite in color and well matched.
"Is it cooked by Elizabeth?"
"Of course." James nodded very proudly, "She had prepared the meal when I came back. She insisted on letting me send it to you. Eat while it's hot. You know that she's very good at cooking!"
"It's so nice of her. Thank her on my behalf." Isaac took the bowl but didn't start to eat immediately.
"Hey! Eat while it's hot. I came all the way to send it to you. She had cooked for a long time today." Saying this, he pointed to one of the thermos, "She made some soup for aunt. If she is hungry when she wakes up, she can drink some."
Isaac nodded, "Thank..."
As soon as he said one word, James waved his hands impatiently, "How annoying you are! I feel so uncomfortable when you thank me! You are a man, but why are you so sentimental? Don't thank me anymore, okay?"
Isaac smiled helplessly, "Alright. But..." He sighed lightly, "I have no appetite right now."
James raised his eyebrows, "What's wrong?" He glanced at Marrlin who was lying on the hospital bed and said, "Don't worry. Didn't you see the report clearly? Although I know that you are anxious and sad, aunt needs a period of rest and recuperation. It's useless for you to be worried, right?"
"No." Isaac shook his head gently, "I know her condition well."
"So you don't have to worry about anything! Hurry up and eat!"
Isaac sighed, "By right, I don't need to think about anything now. My mother has been saved, and I should feel at ease. However..." He frowned, and there was deep sorrow in his eyes, "Jimmy, I don't know why, but I had felt nervous before you came here."
"Is it because the air here is not fresh? Why don't you go out to take the air? I can stay with aunt here."
Isaac chuckled, "Have you forgotten what I used to be in the past? If I couldn't adapt to this kind of environment, I wouldn't have been a doctor for so many years."
"Perhaps you are too nervous these two days and you didn't have a good rest, so you can't get used to the sudden relax." James comforted him, "Don't think too much. I won't go to the company today. I will stay here. If you want to rest, I can take care of aunt for you." "Okay..." Going up the mountain was easy but going down the mountain was hard.
Adele had been walking for so long, and she was carrying Arvis on her back. At this moment, she was flustered and anxious. For fear that Elliot and Frid would catch up with her, she ran unsteadily in a hurry.
Although there were lots of trees, it was not easy for her to find a hiding place nearby. Moreover, Elliot said that he would follow the way she had walked, so she didn't dare to stop here. Just now, she only thought about how to escape. How could she know that she should mess up the weeds again? Moreover, even if she thought of it, she had no extra strength to do that.
Afraid of being discovered, she could only bend her waist as much as possible, but she walked slower in this way.
She ran forward step by step, and the weeds under her feet were very long and lush. She was almost tripped over several times.
"She's over there!"
Frid shouted out loud, which started Adele. She suddenly paused and broke out in a cold sweat. Her heart was about to jump out of her throat. Panicked, she ran faster with Arvis on her back.
"Mom, they're catching up with us." Arvis looked back and then said to Adele nervously.
