As soon as Elizabeth Liang entered the door and saw the sofa, she collapsed onto it without even bothering to change her shoes.
She went through more ups and downs today than a freaking movie.
Staring at the wide floor-to-ceiling windows, she gloomily thought of James Lu's angry face.
She sighed.
How could he not be angry?
Within one day, she had smashed his head, then pushed him again while he was injured...
The fact of the matter was that she had asked for his help, so she shouldn't have exploded like that no matter how annoyed she was. After all, if she had irrevocably pissed him off, where could she possibly find another man like James Lu to rely on?
She didn't know him well enough to figure out whether or not he would regret everything and refuse to marry her because of what she had done today.
After giving it some thought, she shook her head and denied the idea. He probably wouldn't. Sure, James didn't come home with her, but he gave her the key to his house and told her the password, didn't he?
But... if he were to break his word, what is she going to do? After kicking her legs in frustration, she sat up all of a sudden.
"No! I can't let that happen!"
She had made up her mind to do something, something that would make sure he marries her.
What was that saying again? That there is no such thing as a free lunch?
That's right!
That'll do it!
Now that she had a plan, Elizabeth finally felt relieved. Satisfied, she leaned against the sofa and closed her eyes. This long day was finally over, and she was exhausted.

At the Grand Dynasty Hotel.
James sat in an armchair with his head wrapped in thick bandages, his legs were elegantly crossed and his face was somber.
Looking at his big and usually comfortable bed, and thinking about what had happened the night before, he felt his headache getting even worse.
His face only relaxed a little when his assistant Samuel Lee entered the room with his new cellphone.
