Elizabeth didn't know whether she was having her breakfast or lunch. After she picked it, Lydia held her phone and came downstairs with a smiling face.
"Elizabeth, have you finished eating?"
"Yeah." Elizabeth nodded with a smile.
"Oh." Lydia grinned and trotted to the living room, "John, you're so cute..."
Elizabeth stood at the stairs, wondering whether she should go upstairs. She felt that time really went by slowly. Why didn't James hurry back home?
Before she could take a step, the doorbell rang. Auntie Chang ran to press the button and opened the door.
About one minute later, several people came in one after another, carrying several shelves which were full of all kinds of clothes and skirts.
At this time, John held Lydia's hand and came out. He looked at those clothes and said, "Well, I've bought what you want for you. Are you happy now?"
Lydia was overjoyed. She looked at the clothes for a long time and then looked at another small cabinet as she asked the delivery man, "What's in it?"
"Madam, it's the jewelry Mr. Lu bought for you."
Before Lydia could exclaim in surprise, several people came in with two or three big boxes in their hands, "Madam, these are the latest female bags Mr. Lu ordered for you."
"Oh my God." Lydia covered her mouth and laughed happily. Regardless of the people present, she threw herself into John's arms, "John, you're so sweet."
After those people left, Lydia looked at the carefully packaged bags one by one.
"Oh! John, you are really much more generous than Jimmy!" She held three bags in her arms, "Last time I asked him to buy one bag for me, but he complained. I've had enough of him."
Elizabeth stood aside, pursed her lips and didn't speak.
John raised his eyebrows and said with a smile, "Mmm." Although he was glad that his son could do better than him, he didn't want his wife to be envious of his daughter-in-law.
"I don't think the color and style of this bag are suitable for me." Lydia looked at a pinkyellow bag in one of the boxes and said with a frown.
"That should be Elizabeth's. There are a few bags in another box, and you can pick them yourselves." John stood aside, "Some jewelry is for Elizabeth. Let her pick first."
Hearing this, Elizabeth was stunned at first, but then she was moved to the extreme.
John was not her biological father, and he looked a little serious in daily life. She didn't expect that he would buy her something.
"Dad, thank you."
John smiled, "Isn't this what I should do?"
Lydia stuffed the pink- yellow bag in Elizabeth's hand, "You don't have to thank him. Isn't he your dad? It's natural for a dad to buy things for his daughter. In the future, he will buy you lots of things and make up for the things that your biological father can't buy for you."
Elizabeth looked at the bag in her hand and lowered her head slightly. With a touched heart, she nodded gently.
"Elizabeth, look at this necklace. Do you like it?"
After a while, Lydia finally distributed all the jewelry and bags, and she was in a wonderful mood. No matter how old a woman was, she was always attracted to jewelry, bags and clothes, wasn't she?
