The bustling airport was a bit noisy being full of voices.
"Have you got everything ready?" Elizabeth asked Leo, who still couldn't cover up his impatience, even though he was wearing a mask.
"Don't worry. It's just some documents." Leo gave a light laugh. "Let's go and get boarding passes."
"Sure."
Elizabeth followed Leo to get the boarding pass and then they went to the security checkpoint.
They bought the tickets in a hurry and there were only the economy cabin tickets available.
Although they booked the earliest flight, there was still some time before the security check opened. So both of them were waiting outside the security checkpoint.
Leo raised his wrist to look at his watch from time to time. The anxiety shown on his face became more and more obvious.
Elizabeth noticed and patted him on the
shoulder. "Don't worry. Look, we've bought the earliest tickets to leave, haven't we?" "Well, I know," As he spoke, Leo couldn't help but sigh, "Sometimes time flies. But right now, I feel every second is longer than forever."
"I understand," Elizabeth nodded, "Wait a little longer. Well be able to leave soon."
Leo didn't say anything else, only staring forward and pursing his lips.
Elizabeth didn't say anything either. She silently sat next to Leo and rested with her eyes closed. It had been such a long time since she woke up in the morning. She had entangled with Zena and traveled in the car the whole day. Even she wasn't hungry, Elizabeth was indeed tired because she slept more recently.
Although sleeping on the bench wasn't comfortable, it was good enough at the moment.
She didn't sleep long but slept very well.
"Little Bunny? Wake up!"
Elizabeth opened her eyes in a daze and then she was totally woke up in several seconds. She looked at the boarding gate and asked, "Are we boarding now?"
The answer was obvious since people have started to queue up.
"Yes, just started," Leo called Elizabeth several times. Though he was anxious, he still waited for her to wake up patiently.
"I fell in sleep." Elizabeth felt sorry and smiled, "Let's go boarding."
Before they stood up, they heard a large uproar in front of them. Some of the people who were queuing in front of them even tried to push forward.
Then, the boarding gate was closed again and even the ground staff left.
"What's going on?" Elizabeth asked in confusion.
Leo's face became darker, "I'm not sure. Let me have a look in front."
Leo hurried to the front, and the people that were queuing up gradually walked back. Everyone's expression was different. Some were anxious and some were annoyed, and some were calm.
As those people got closer, Elizabeth heard what they were talking about.
"What's going on? Isn't the weather fine? Why can't we fly?"
"Mom, I haven't passed the security check... I don't know. It's said that the weather is bad. I'm worried as well. I need to go there and negotiate for the project. What should I do?" "Darling, it's so annoying. I was expecting our honeymoon in LA, but..."
