"Oh, my god! It's really in lockdown!"
"Yes, I also saw the news on social media."
"Me too. My friend is in a traffic jam near the city entrance. It's said that the road is blocked."
"What the hell is going on? Has anything serious happened?"
People on site were all old enough to understand the seriousness lockdown meant. Soon, everyone started to talked to each other though they were strangers.
"So that's how it is. The entire city is in lockdown. It sounds excited but it makes me feel nervous at the same time. My little heart is beating really fast."
"There hasn't been any pandemic recently. Could it be felons running away?"
"Hey, don't scare me. I cannot bear it."
"Why didn't the airport staff make it clear for us? What a deception is here!"
"You don't understand. Think about it. It is lockdown. How dare airport staff say it randomly? If the news is revealed and there really are felons in the airport, what should
we do when they bring out knives or guns? Besides, people will lose control once they get panic and the situation will be worse."
Some timid girls were scared to cry as they heard people talking. "What should we do? What if the bad guys are in the airport? We... I really want to go home."
Elizabeth listened to what they were talking and turned nervous. She was thinking that if there were really bad guys showing up, she couldn't even run fast.
Thinking of how she was kidnapped by Josephine, Elizabeth couldn't help but feel scared and her imagination ran wild.
"Leo, are there really bad guys?" After a long while, Elizabeth asked in a trembling voice. She kept her voice low because she was afraid that the bad guys would hear her.
Leo heard what those people were talking as well. He didn't dare to make any guarantee but could only say a single sentence, "Don't be afraid."
Elizabeth pressed her lips and said, "You... my cell phone is broken. Can you check the news?"
"The airport said that it's because of the weather. Do you think the news will tell a different story?"
Elizabeth thought for a while and agreed with Leo. "Or how about to check your social media?" She only wished that it was not the truth what those people were talking about.
Leo knew that she was scared. He took out his phone and checked the social media. It was indeed all about the lockdown.
Elizabeth didn't hesitate to look at Leo's phone as well. The more she read, the paler her face became.
"It is actually real..."
Photos showing situations around A City were posted on social media.
The highway entrances were all blocked and the traffic jams were heavy. The bus stations were also blocked with lots of police. The same went to the train stations.
Even on the roads, especially the important intersections, police cars and police officers were there.
People got nervous and scared only by looking at those photos.
Just as those people said, there wasn't any pandemic, but why was it happening?
It must be the same outside the airport.
"Don't worry, Little Bunny. It's fine. I'm here with you."
"Leo, if there are really bad guys running, do you think whether they are at the airport?"
"Don't worry. Don't you have me? Even if bad guys come, I will protect you."
