The hall was spacious and full of people.
What was happening made the hall even more noisy.
Some people were unhappy to be locked and began to argue with the staff. Some people were asking for compensation because of the delay. Some people were asking for refunds of the tickets. Those who were more patient were sitting quietly.
Elizabeth sat on the bench and stared at her feet with a blank mind. She was clearly extremely anxious, but she couldn't think of a solution.
This feeling of anxiety and fear was really torture. She had done nothing wrong, but she couldn't do anything, and she couldn't even go home.
If she had known that things would turn out this way, she really wouldn't have left.
Although there were many people here, how could she feel safe? No matter how many people there were, they were just strangers to her, except for Leo.
If she didn't leave or come here, would she
feel safe at the moment? No matter what happened, she would not feel insecure or panic as long as she was with James.
Sure enough, she would regret when she was impulsive and naughty. She ate medicine, misunderstood James, and met Zena. Finally, she was impulsive enough to come here.
God blessed her. If she could leave safe and sound later, she would not do this again. She would not leave James again.
Alas! How bad her temper was!
"Little Bunny, don't worry too much." Seeing that Elizabeth wasn't in a good mood, Leo had no choice but to keep talking, "I know you're scared, but there is nothing we can do."
"Though you didn't listen to me. But since we are here already, let's take things as they come, shall we?"
Elizabeth twitched her mouth pitifully. "I can't calm down. What should I do?"
"You have to calm down. Otherwise, I'm worrying that it will do harm to the baby."
Elizabeth was stunned, and she became even more flustered. "I know, but I can't control it." She also knew that she should calm down, but her heart was pounding wildly. She felt uncomfortable, as if her heart was lifted.
Anyone would be nervous facing such situations, let alone she had experienced something frightened not long before.
Once bitten by a snake, one would be afraid of ropes for years. Elizabeth kept imagining any situation would happen. She even thought of the 911 tragic and mob incidents. The more she thought about it, the more flustered she was.
"I know." Leo realized that mentioning his persuading wouldn't work but to make Elizabeth more nervous. "What else can we do? Look at me, I don't know what to do though I am worried. Even if I have a private plane, I'm afraid that I won't be able to leave. So, let's just wait patiently."
"Besides, I don't think it will last long. Listen to my analysis. Although it's in lockdown, normally the restriction is about entering and leaving the city. It will be the worst situation when there is pandemic. But based on my analysis, it's not. Don't be afraid. Daily life in the city won't be affected."
"Let me put it simply. It's only that you can't leave the city and no one else can enter the city in lockdown. But all the rest will be the same."
As soon as he finished, he shook his head slightly. "Well... It's also not convenient without the Internet. So, when they find whom they are looking for, everything will return to the original state."
Elizabeth pondered for a moment, "I still don't understand. If what you said is true, then why we cannot leave?"
"Little Bunny, are you a fool?"
