James had been in a good mood all day. Isaac asked him to go out last night, and he learnt a piece of good news.
At least, he was no longer very guilty to Richard.
He bore no burden and was fully relieved in heart.
Therefore, he didn't feel annoyed when Lydia kept on blathering about the wedding dresses, and he could even give her some suggestions.
"As for this one." James raised his eyebrows and thought for a moment, "I think the light color will be better. Don't you think purple is too eye- catching? It doesn't match my temperament at all, okay?"
Lydia rolled her eyes at him, "Hey, do you think I choose this for you? Do you think you will be in the spotlight on the wedding? Shouldn't I think for Elizabeth first? She is delicate and quiet, so I think the light purple suits her so well."
Hearing this, James was angry, and he was amused, "Won't I be in the spotlight? Do you think she can appear on the wedding without
me?"
"What do you want?"
"I think white is good, and it matches her temperament very well. I won't feel awkward when I see it." James was glad that Lydia didn't choose anything pink. Otherwise, he might go crazy.
"I'm not in a hurry to make a decision. Let's talk about it after we hear Elizabeth's opinion."
James said gloomily, "Then why don't you ask her directly?"
"You are the second most important person on the wedding, so it's right to ask you." After that, Lydia waved her hand, "Okay, that's settled. Come on. Take a look at the invitation cards. What kind of style and color should we choose?"
"Mom..." James rubbed his chin and looked at Lydia very seriously, "Didn't you really hire a wedding planner? Are you really going to prepare for the wedding alone?"
Lydia said unconcernedly, "No! Your father prepares for it together with me, doesn't he?"
James was silent for a while, "Just... you two?" "The two of us are enough." Lydia said with confidence, "Let's discuss many details first.
As for what to buy, I can ask someone to deliver it home. After all, it's impossible for your dad and I to decorate all the tables and chairs, right? I said I would give you and Elizabeth a romantic wedding, and I won't break my promise."
Hearing this, James was moved, but he did not show it, "Mom, you don't have to do this. Elizabeth and I both agreed to let you arrange the wedding as you like, didn't we? You and dad are not young anymore. You can just stay at home and hire a wedding planner. Don't be so tired."
"Alas! I'm not tired at all!" Lydia said with a smile, "When I see you and Elizabeth hold a wedding, my wish will be fulfilled. You're thirty years old, and I have been looking forward to your wedding for a very long time. Even if I'm tired, I'm happy. I'm so glad to see you get married. How can I feel tired? If you insist that I'm tired, I am pleasantly tired. Do you... understand this?"
Listening to Lydia's warm words, James could not say anything else. He smiled, walked over and hugged Lydia from behind, acting like a spoiled child, "Mom, you are so considerate. I'm so touched. What should I do?"
Lydia smiled and reached out to pat James's hand, "Just accept my kindness. In the future, be obedient and treat Elizabeth well, and I will be so delighted."
"I see." James nodded, "How dare I not listen to you?"
