I Only Want You novel Chapter 896

"Yes," Lawrence nodded. "Why?"

Evelyn said, "Then why do you look as if you were running over?"

"I see," Lawrence said while shrugging. "There wasn't a parking space when I arrived. So I parked in the neighbouring parking lot. I was worried that you would wait too long, so I ran over." He then sighed and said, "But I still kept you waiting for a while."

"It doesn't matter." Evelyn smiled and said, "Luckily I didn't leave earlier."

"That's right," Lawrence nodded, "Luckily you didn't leave. Otherwise, I will be embarrassed to meet you again."

Sometimes, the difference between explaining on site and afterwards was really significant.

"Sir, your coffee." The waiter came for serving.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome. Young Miss, your juice."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome. Please enjoy."

The waiter took the tray and was about to leave when Lawrence suddenly stopped him, "Wait a minute."

"Sir, is there anything else you need?"

Lawrence asked, "May I know where I can charge my phone? I didn't find any portable charger here."

"Sir, you can go to the bar. If you prefer, you can put it there."

"Okay." Lawrence nodded. Then, he took out his phone and handed it to the waiter. "I'll have to trouble you then."

"It's no trouble at all."

The waiter took Lawrence's phone and left. Lawrence smiled at Evelyn and said, "It's not convenient with a power-off phone."

"Indeed." The most important reason was that he couldn't call her just before.

If it hadn't been because his cell phone had no electricity, she wouldn't have been sitting there alone while guessing his thoughts, and finally preparing to leave in upsets.

Lawrence raved, "It seems to be the first time we meet this way."

Evelyn was stunned and was about to refute, but then she nodded with a smile.

When they first met, she didn't know who he was. When they met again, he was Laurant. The gentleman touched her. But it wasn't a happy ending.

Afterwards, they have met several times, but not like it was this day.

Therefore, it could be said that this was the first time they met this way. He came as Lawrence and she came as Evelyn. They were who they were.

"That's right."

"But what surprised me the most was that you asked me out." Lawrence said and then grinned, "Do you know how surprise I was when I heard it in the phone, Evelyn? I even checked the calendar to see whether it was any special day after I hung up the phone."

Evelyn was amused by what he said. "What did you find? Was it anything special about that day?"

Lawrence was a bit dumbfounded, "It was only a Saturday." Other than that, he really didn't find anything special.

"Ha!"
