"What do you want me to say?" Cornelia asked.
"Whatever you want." Ben said.
"But I don't wanna talk anymore, I'm beat. Ben, you're a good guy, you helped me a lot when I first started working. I appreciate that. If we don't get a chance to work together again, then see ya." Cornelia said.
After saying this, Cornelia wanted to hang up, but Ben stopped her, "Cornelia, don't hang up, I have a lot to say to you."
He was getting frantic.
"What is it?" Cornelia was puzzled.
"I..." Ben, usually a smooth talker, was now stuttering at the crucial moment.
"If you don't have anything to say, I'm gonna hang up." Cornelia was fed up.
"Cornelia, I like you!" Ben said.
To stop Cornelia from hanging up, Ben had to throw caution to the wind. He didn't care anymore, as long as he could hear Cornelia's voice.
Cornelia responded coldly, "Oh, I don't like you."
