Among the guys present, Marcus was the only one who made any sense. Cornelia subtly gave him a thumbs up.
Steven laughed, "Marc, you reckon you're qualified to talk about marital relationships with us? You better work things out with your own wife first."
Marcus didn't respond to him, but looked back at Cornelia. Cornelia immediately greeted him in a formal tone, "Good afternoon, President Hartley."
Her formal tone made Marcus's expression turn sour. But Cornelia was too far away to notice.
Steven wrapped his arm around Hannah's waist, gave her a gentle pinch, and nuzzled her neck, "With Marc's wife out of the picture, his words don't matter. I need to make my stance clear, and that is I don't wanna let you go."
Hannah tried to squirm away, but Steven was too strong for her. She bit her lip and whispered, "Steven, come on, everyone's looking."
Steven ignored her quiet protests, and continued to nibble on her ear, "I haven't seen you in two weeks, finally managed to clear a couple of days to spend with you. Can't you just go with the flow?"
Hannah stopped struggling, closing her eyes and hiding all her emotions inside. She knew how needy Steven could get. If it wasn't for this gathering at Woodpine, he would probably not leave the hotel today, and make up for lost time.
Steven led Hannah to the dining table, "Everyone's here, let's eat first. After meal, everyone can take their wives back to the hotel, do whatever they want."
Hannah couldn't walk away, and Rosie didn't insist on leaving either. She just shot her husband a furious glare.
Lucas quickly pulled out a chair, "Sit down and fill your belly first."
