She thought for a moment, then walked over to him. She opened her arms and gave him a hug, then quickly walked away, "It's getting late, you should head home and get some rest. See you tomorrow!"
She came and went like a flash, Marcus didn't even have time to grab her, and she was gone again.
Watching her quickly retreating figure, a slight smile crept onto Marcus' face. Not only did she hug him, but she also dropped the formalities.
This was a good start.
...
It was late, but Zack and Abigail were still wide awake.
As Cornelia entered the room, their eyes scanned her as if they wanted to see right through her.
Abigail came over to Cornelia, and sniffed her with her sharp nose, "You're useless!"
Cornelia asked, "What did I do to upset you?"
Abigail said, "You've been alone with Marcus for days, did anything happen between you two?"
Cornelia said, "Who said we were alone? And who said I wanted anything to happen?"
Abigail said, "You're useless!"
Zack said, "Abby, cool it. Let's talk business."
"What's going on?" Cornelia noticed their odd expressions.
Zack said, "Someone trashed our studio."
Cornelia asked, "When did this happen?"
