“Wait? Is he my mate now?”

“Who? Who’s your mate now?”

I turn around to meet those beautiful gray eyes again.

“You, you’re my mate now?” I said.

“I see. That’s why we feel that sparks.” He moves forward. Looking at me like I’m his prey. “May I ask you something, did you accept your mate’s rejection before the ceremony?” Alpha Mark asks as he continue moving forward.

I step back until my back hit the tree. Shit!

“Yes.” I breathed out.

“The Moon Goddess pairs us now as new mates. That means you are mine now.” He said and corner me with his arms resting on the tress. His eyes are now glowing, I can feel his wolf reaching to my wolf too. They are trying to dominate us and take their claim on us.

Mine? I am his mate?

“Wait…. I barely know you and this is too sudden.” I tried to move away but he stops me using his other hand caging me in the tree.

“I am your alpha now and you are the Moon Goddess chosen Luna. My second chance mate. We have a lot of time knowing each other.” Mark says. His lips are now inches away my neck.

A shiver runs down my whole body when he licks it.

Mark removes his hands and look away.

“My sister and my mate died on the same day.” He said.

I can feel the sadness in his voice. I remember him talking about his siter yesterday when we met.

“Don’t worry. It happened a long time ago. What important right now is that we met and we can still have a new life together.” He looks at the Moon above us. “Finally, she made something good in my life.”

“I didn’t know that you lost your mate. I thought that you still haven’t met her.” I said.

“I met her a while ago.” He said as he stares at me.

I feel my heart beats quickens and feel hot in my cheeks.

I heard him laugh.

“You’re cute when you blush.” He says.

I hold my face in embarrassment.

“stop teasing me Alpha Mark.” I said.

He pulls my hand away from my face and he hold my chin to look at him.

“It’s Mark. I am your mate now Wendy. We are equal and you’re now the Luna of this pack. You don’t have to call me by my name.” He said.

“I-I know but as I told you, it’s all sudden. I just accepted my mate’s rej---.”

“He’s not your mate anymore.” He shouted.

I step back but I realized what I said.

“I mean I accepted his rejection just now and then I got a new mate all of the sudden. I’m not yet ready for a relationship.” He grabs me in my waist. I feel the sparks again and this time I can feel his whole body pression on me.

“You are mine.” He said. His tone is different.

“I’m not own by anyone Mark.” I said back.

I don’t like him acting so possessive to me. Claiming that I’m his sounds so different. I’m suffocate by his hand around me. I push him but he ignores me.

“Mark, you are hurting me.”

It seems to work on him. He removes his hand around me but stay in front of me.

“Move all your things to my room. You’re now staying there.” He said.
