Chapter 163 Jake Was Missing
Some sneaky reporters who managed to slip into the party captured the scene and posted it online.
However, they kindly blurred the faces of those involved.
Many people in the crowd, including directors and celebrities from showbiz, couldn't help but nod in agreement.
While they might hold a certain respect for Christian's influence, they disdained Beatrice's behavior.
Beatrice was just an off-the-record mistress. She overestimated her significance too much.
Everyone could see she was putting on a show just now.
"That's right. You should call the police. Talking alone won't get your son back."
"Yeah. Ms. Graves isn't the kind of person. Hasn't it been someone else causing trouble recently?"
Beatrice's face turned pale, and she held onto Christian's clothes tightly.
Christian frowned and looked at Beatrice gloomily. He asked coldly,
"Did you really see that it was Anastasia?"
Christian didn't call the police because he feared Anastasia had done something foolish.
But now he was the one who looked fool!
Beatrice's eyes flickered, showing a hint of unease.
"It looked very much like Ms. Graves. Besides her, who else would hate me and my son so much?"
Christian's face tightened. His anger simmered underneath.
He knew he'd fallen for Beatrice's trick again.
Amanda sneered. She walked over to put her arm around Anastasia's shoulder and said,
"Anastasia, do you dare to confront them at the police station in front of all these people?"
Anastasia raised an eyebrow and said confidently,
"Of course. But if it wasn't me, I want Mr. Patterson and Ms. Cohen to apologize publicly."
Beatrice's face turned paler as she stared at Anastasia with resentment.
"Fine. Anastasia, I'll find evidence against you!"
Beatrice still thought it was Anastasia who took Jake away because of jealousy.
