Aelion saw the respect in Arabella's eyes and gave a slight nod. "Alright, let's get going if you're on board."
Aelion appeared right in front of her in a flash, almost like he'd materialized out of nowhere. He took hold of her arm, gave a gentle push off the ground with his toes, and they shot up into the air.
Arabella's face went white with fear as she was lifted off the ground, but Aelion's calm demeanor brought her an unexpected feeling of calm. His presence made her feel safe and eased her anxiety.
They landed on a small patio in Everton. Instead of taking her to the Aerial Legion, Aelion chose this secluded spot. The Aerial Legion was too crowded, and with Arabella's delicate situation, any sign of her departure could trouble Aelion.
When Aelion first saw Arabella, he immediately identified her but decided not to make a fuss about it. He saw her potential, and since she was willing to join him, getting her out of the palace was simple.
Arabella quietly stood as they landed, not saying a word.
"Your situation is tricky, so keep a low profile unless it's really important. There's some food in the fridge. I'll check in tomorrow." Aelion's tone was gentle but firm. "Did you catch that?"
"Yeah, I got it," Arabella responded quickly, nodding in agreement.
With that, Aelion transformed into a blur of white and vanished. He was heading back to the palace to ensure Arabella's escape didn't become a headache. Otherwise, the news would end up on the Gadel's desk.
Left alone, Arabella gazed up at the starry sky and murmured, "Mom, Dad, please watch over me. I promise I'll deal with that Matthew Larson soon."
She then started peeling off her grimy clothes, revealing a figure that could captivate anyone. Turning on the water hose, she let the cool water wash over her, a welcome relief from the warm night air.
"Mmm..." She let out a satisfied sigh, her moan mixing with the soothing sound of the water.
Back at the palace, a lively banquet was underway. Much to his reluctance, Gadel was seated at the head of the table, with Matthew sitting beside him. Matthew tried to protest, but Gadel insisted, "I've said you're my equal. What's the harm in you sitting here with me?"
Matthew then found himself in the top spot, thanks to Gadel's insistence.
"Regent, I, Kainne, Chief Financial Officer of Montiria, raise a toast to you!" a man in his fifties announced, his unassuming appearance belying his authoritative air.
"Thanks for that, Chief Financial Officer," Matthew replied, taking a glass of red wine and downing it in one go.
Handling such things was a breeze for him—a quick use of his spiritual power made it easy. He could possibly drink all night without a hitch with his grandmaster-level physique.
"Impressive, Regent! Your boldness is truly something to admire," Kainne remarked, clearly impressed.
