Without even checking who was calling, he answered the phone, shouting into the receiver with unchecked anger.
"You wretched fool!" A cold, elderly voice came from the other end, dripping with anger.
Miller's face instantly turned pale—it was his grandfather's voice.
"Grandfather, I—" Miller tried to explain, but Terrance cut him off without giving him a chance to speak. "Do everything Anton tells you, or when you return, you'll leave the Cunningham Family and head to the Northern Territory to 'expand the family's influence.'" Terrance's voice was icy, and with that, he hung up.
Miller collapsed onto the floor, his face drained of color. His grandfather had just threatened to cast him out of the Cunningham Family.
He knew exactly what it meant to be banished from the family—it would strip him of any chance to compete for the patriarchy. He would end up like James, a forgotten member with no power or influence.
"Mr. Cunningham, come back to bed…" the girl in the bed, hoping to seduce Miller again, cooed, her eyes filled with lust. But Miller was in no mood. He exploded with rage, yelling at her, "Get lost, you f*cking sl*t!"
He sat on the floor, his expression shifting from disbelief to venomous hatred. It had to be him—that bastard must have manipulated my grandfather!
"So, I've let a rival loose," Miller muttered through gritted teeth. He swore that if given the chance, he would kill that man.
Despite his anger, Miller couldn't disobey Terrance's orders. He pulled out his phone and called Tritus, speaking coldly into the receiver, "Come to Hulwin Hotel, room 603. We need to talk—right now."
Tritus, confused but sensing the urgency in Miller's voice, responded quickly. "Alright."
