Married by Accident, Taming the Billionaire novel Chapter 197

Chapter 197 Mr. Nelson Wanted to Meet His Other Two Sons

All the unfortunate events happened at once. Sean could only arrange for his subordinates to stay, look after Ophelia, and wait for the ambulance, and quickly asked someone to tell the Linseys.

Then, he rushed out of the racetrack and quickly drove back to the Gusto's.

Cecelia glanced at Winger, who respectfully walked away.

She then turned to Andrew and asked, "Mr. Blake, our bet still counts, right?"

Andrew gave a faint smile and replied, "Of course it does. I always keep my word."

As a seasoned businessman, Andrew couldn't be oblivious to Cecelia's intentions. Now, he just wanted to figure out why she had come to him.

"Let's talk in the lounge area over there. Please follow me."

Cecelia made an inviting gesture and Andrew followed her toward the lounge area.

Fredric had already described what happened on the racecourse to Remington. "Sean has already run away, and now Miss Linsey and Mr. Blake are chatting in the lounge area."

After saying this, Fredric carefully observed Remington's facial expression, a little worried that Remington would be jealous.

After all, Andrew was also a well-known figure in the business world, who was mature, stable, and single, considered a successful and charming person. If Miss Linsey talked to Andrew alone, it would be inevitable for Remington to get jealous.

Fortunately, Remington's face was cold without showing any emotions.

Perhaps because of the trip to Cloud City, he had developed more trust in Cecelia, so even if she talked to other men, he wouldn't be as irritable as before.

He believed that she must have had a reason for doing so.

If his guess was right, Cecelia went to Andrew probably because Andrew was one of the shareholders of the Linsey Group.

As they sat down in the lounge, Andrew looked at the beautiful and charming woman and said, "Miss Cecelia, your beauty and intelligence are truly remarkable. I wonder what you want after winning the competition?"

"Mr. Blake, I'm flattered. I know your time is valuable, so I'll get straight to the point." Cecelia didn't beat around the bush and just presented her request, "What I want is simple. I hope that when the Linsey Group holds its shareholder meeting in a while, you can vote for me!"

"Oh? Miss Cecelia, do you want to attend the shareholder meeting?"

As far as Andrew knew, Cecelia had no position or shares in the Linsey Group.

He wondered why she asked him to vote for her.

"That's right. I will take back control of the Linsey Group from Gary and hold a shareholder meeting. Mr. Black, I hope to get your assistance."

Cecelia's courage impressed Andrew.

"You want to regain control of the Linsey Group? But Mr. Gary is your father. Why bother?" Mr. Blake asked.

"Mr. Blake, although I am Gary's daughter, I do not have a single share of the Linsey Group. However, the Linsey Group used to be the Done Group, which belonged to my grandfather's family. It is only right for me to get it back," Cecelia explained.

After hearing her explanation, Andrew asked, "But Mrs. Linsey is also a daughter of the Done family, isn't she?"

"She is not my grandfather's biological daughter. The Done Group is only mine," Cecelia said in a firm tone.

Andrew refrained from involving himself in other people's affairs and only expressed his own thoughts.

"I won't meddle in your Linsey family's affairs. Miss Cecelia, as a businessman, I just want to remind you that the Linsey Group is not what it used to be. It's going downhill. If you've done market research, you'll know that acquiring the Linsey Group will require a significant investment on your part, and the risks may outweigh the benefits," Andrew reminded out of kindness.

He viewed the investment project through the lens of a businessman.

The Linsey Group had been hit hard and repeatedly, losing a large portion of its market value, and it was on the verge of becoming a shell company.

Andrew even had plans to withdraw his investment, and investing in the Linsey Group now was like jumping into a trap.

"Thank you for your reminder, but the Done Group is the fruit of my grandfather's life's work. I can't just watch it be destroyed by others."
