Chapter 360 Have a Way to Let Her Confess the Truth
"Aunt Dana, it seems that you are living well after marrying into the Songo family. What you said was totally different from your past life."
Dana suddenly understood Cecelia's words.
Cecelia's words revealed Dana's unpleasant past. The thing that made her most embarrassed was that she had been a bar girl when she was young.
But no one in the Songo family dared to talk about her. The only one who could slander her was Fiona.
Dana glanced at Cecelia, then turned to glare at Fiona.
However, Fiona didn't tell Cecelia this. Seeing Dana glare at her, she asked. "Why are you looking at me? What Cecelia said makes sense, and it has nothing to do with whether you live in a noble family or not."
"You know what, you just who you are, it always makes sense."
Dana was about to go mad. She complained to her dad. "Dad, did you listen to what she said?"
"Enough!"
Alfred patted the table, calming everyone in the room.
He stood up from his position, walked out with his cane, and said to Cecelia. "Cecelia, come with me!"
Cecelia followed Alfred out. Mizey comforted her mother. "Mom, don't be angry. Grandpa will blame her and train her well."
Following Alfred, Cecelia came to his study.
The study was very grand, the decoration was simple and elegant inside. There were many classics on the bookshelves. There were exquisite tea ceremony utensils on the reception table in the study. The furniture in the room was also made of fine rosewood and yellow pear wood.
Cecelia closed the door after entering the room. Alfred sat down on the grand master's chair in front of the reception table and invited Cecelia to sit across from him.
"I know you have a lot of questions about your grandma. Let me talk to you slowly."
The old man started to make tea. Seeing that the old man's hands were shaking, Cecelia took it and started making tea neatly.
Seeing that she was familiar with the tea ceremony, Alfred's eyes showed a hint of approval. When the tea was placed in front of him, he nodded with satisfaction.
After taking a sip of the fragrant tea, Alfred began to talk.
"I'm your grandma's cousin, a few years older than her. We grew up and played together when we were kids."
"Your grandma and I have been close friends since childhood. No matter what happens, I will protect her and won't let outsiders bully her."
Listening to Alfred Songo's description, Cecelia didn't completely believe it and then asked. "Since you have such a good relationship, why did my grandma leave the Songo family? How could she disappear?"
Alfred looked at Cecelia and took a deep breath. "Cecelia, haven't you understood yet that your grandmother didn't disappear, but ran away from home?"
"Run away from home?"
"Well, after she grew into a young girl in her early twenties, the Songo family could have arranged a good marriage for her, but she secretly fell for someone else. She even eloped with that person in order to escape from the marriage."
"The Songo family is a prominent family in Porema. It is impossible to publicize that she eloped. In order to restore our reputation, we announced that she was missing."
"Since my great-uncle said she eloped, then who did she run away with?"
"I suspect it was your grandpa. Maybe your grandpa deceived your grandma."
Cecelia couldn't agree with Alfred's statement. From her understanding, her grandmother did not elope with someone and then settle in the Cathail Republic.
It was her grandfather Allen who accidentally rescued her injured grandmother and took good care of her. Grandma fell in love with her grandfather and eventually married her.
If her grandma really ran away with another man, how could the Songo family not continue the investigation to find her grandma and bring her back to the Songo family?
"My grandfather Allen Don is also very famous in the Cathail Republic. How could he abduct a girl from a noble family?"
