Chapter 399 Go Tough If the Negotiation Don't Work
Queenie probably didn't expect that she wanted to save her brother, but ended up getting herself into trouble instead.
Daniel Martinaz, the private lawyer of the Songo family, has arrived at the Flores Farm to negotiate with the victim's family.
Daniel first tried to reason with Mrs. Flores, "Mrs. Flores, you have been a loyal domestic worker of the Songo family for many years. You should be grateful for the care the Songo family has given you, right?
"Mr. Alfred Songo has been generous to you all. You shouldn't repay kindness with ingratitude!"
Zoila Flores knew why they came, but she was not willing to compromise. After waiting for so long, that bastard was finally arrested. There was no way she would drop the charges.
"Martinaz, I understand what you're saying, but my daughter has been hurt and wronged. Apology won't make up for it!"
Daniel nodded, "I understand. Last time, Young Master Warda slept with your daughter. But there was an accident caused. Young Master Warda was drunk. We gave you $10,000 as hush money at that time, which was indeed too little.
"So I discussed it with Mr. Chris Songo. And this time I have fought for a compensation of $40,000 for you. Do you think that's enough?"
Daniel opened the cash-filled box, thinking that Zoila and Rosa were only causing a scene for money. As long as he offered them enough compensation, this trouble could be resolved.
But he underestimated Zoila's determination to seek justice for her daughter.
Even if she and her daughter didn't get a single penny, she would consider it a victory as long as that son of a b*tch went to jail!
"Take it away. Martinaz, my daughter and I don't need this money! We just want to seek justice!"
Seeing Zoila firmly refuse to negotiate, Daniel thought she was unhappy with the amount of money. He tried to compromise, offering, "How about this? If you think $40,000 is not enough, I can contact Mr. Chris Songo and try to get you a little more. How about $100,000? Would that be enough?"
"It's not about the money!" Zoila rejected his offer.
"Daniel felt frustrated about her Zoila's firm attitude.
"Mrs. Flores," he then said angrily, "I personally think this offer is already generous. Mr. Chris Songo sent me here to resolve a big problem by a relatively mild method. Do you really want to make this public and let everyone know that your daughter had been raped?"
"Have you ever thought about how she will be able to face other people? Your daughter is still young. With this money, you can leave Porema and start over somewhere else.
"Why do you have to insist on going against the Songo family and end up with nothing?
"You should know what the consequences are for going against the Songo family. I don't need to tell you, right?" Daniel's words were full of threatening intent.
At this moment, Rosa, who was in the inner room, had already heard everything Daniel said. She was furious and rushed out with a broom to chase him away.
"Get out! Get out of my house! I don't need your dirty money!"
Rosa swung the broom around, and Daniel had no choice but to grab the case and leave in embarrassment.
In the car outside the yard, there were several strong men hired by Chris. They saw Daniel being driven out of the house.
Daniel ran back and told them, "I couldn't reach an agreement, so it's your turn now!"
Chris had already given instructions that negotiation before forceful action. He asked Daniel to take the money to negotiate with the Flores first. If the negotiation failed, then these strong men would use force to make the Flores compromise.
Daniel drove away, and those strong men broke into the yard.
Rosa and Zoila were inside the house, and they heard the yard door being kicked open. They looked out the window and saw several unfamiliar men entering aggressively. Both of them were scared.
Zoila quickly went to close the main door of the house, but unfortunately, the door was kicked open before she could bolt it.
Zoila fell to the ground and stared at them in terror, "What do you want?"
