Chapter 52 Steal the Limelight
Maximus turned to Cecelia.
Everyone was surprised again. They all looked at Cecelia. Master Shawn asked, "Is Andres' mother proficient in calligraphy?"
"No, no, No. I am not. It is just his hobby. He learned it after watching it on TV a few times."
Cecelia didn't admit her talent in calligraphy and painting. She didn't want to steal the limelight. After all, Master Shawn was a calligraphy master, so she should be modest.
"Oh, my God! This kid has a bright future. He's self-taught!"
The more Master Shawn looked at Andres, the happier he appeared to be. He asked, "Since Andres hasn't had a teacher yet, how about letting him learn calligraphy from me?"
No one had expected that Master Shawn would accept a disciple on the spot, which had never happened before.
In the past, many noble families wanted their children to learn from Master Shawn, but he refused all of them, indicating that he would not accept disciples. But today, why did he break his rule?
Winnie was pissed off when she heard that her great grandpa was going to take Andres as his student. What did he mean?
Did he think her son was not good enough?
Did he consider her feelings when he accepted another kid as his disciple in public?
Everyone looked at Cecelia with admiration. This was a rare opportunity which ordinary people desired to get. What was she hesitating about?
Moore said, "It's rare for my father to say so. How about you?"
Cecelia smiled faintly and said, "That's so kind of Master Shawn. Master Shawn has already had such a talented great grandson. We'd better not get involved!"
This was a rejection of politeness. Looking at the child, Master Shawn felt a stroke of regret, as if he had met a beloved treasure, which he could not get. He was very anxious.
"Ah, what a pity." Master Shawn shook his head and sighed, with reluctance in his eyes.
Maria asked cheekily, "Master Shawn, if you want to have an apprentice, you can take a look at my Kalvin and Barry. How about letting them learn from you?"
Master Shawn didn't say anything. He sighed again. Maria made a fool of herself.
Winnie didn't want Andres to steal her son's show, so she whispered to her son.
Hubert was competitive. He walked up to Maximus and asked, "Andres, what else can you do? I have trained Taekwondo. Have you?"
Maximus tilted his head, raised his chin, held his arms and looked at him without saying anything.
Hubert thought that meant yes. "Let's have a competition and see who can do better."
Soon, Hubert took the initiative to walk to the middle of the banquet hall, and the people around naturally moved aside. Hubert began to play Taekwondo.
His father was a criminal police officer, so Hubert worshiped heroism and liked fighting. He had practiced Taekwondo since he was a child, and he was good at it.
There were cheers around. Winnie looked at Cecelia provocatively. Her Hubert would always be better than other sons!
Cecelia held up her arms and looked at Hubert calmly.
When Hubert finished smoothly, everyone applauded him. Hubert proudly walked over and said to Maximus, "Andres, it's your turn!"
Maximus felt that Hubert's Taekwondo was just a show off. It was too easy.
He turned around a little. When everyone thought he was going to leave, he suddenly turned around, kicked over the top of Hubert's head with his toes, and then kicked the wooden table where he wrote just now.
With a "crack", the wooden table was split in half by him.
Hubert was shocked to see that kick!
"Wow..."
