Chapter 151 A Sudden Kiss
Natalie felt better after taking a rest.
Owen walked in and handed her the medicine. "Remember to take it."
Natalie asked in a hoarse voice, "Have you handled your affairs?"
"It's done," Owen smiled. I'm going to fly back to Cruxham next month. And I will find a way to bring GM-1 back."
"Did you go to the Exit and Entrance Department because of GM-1?"
"Yes, there was a misunderstanding, but it has been resolved!" Owen changed the topic. "Mr. Ramsey had a sudden stent misalignment today. What is the cause?"
"It's because of his intense recovery training." Natalie frowned. "I will keep an eye on him and prohibit him from doing any strenuous exercise."
"You should look after your body." Owen crouched down and said with concern, "You are also a doctor. You should know how important health is."
"You are also a doctor." Natalie hadn't heard that since a long time ago.
The concern from another doctor moved Natalie, and she kept nodding. "I will."
...
Kendrick could have left the hospital as planned, but because of the second surgery, he was delayed from discharge.
Natalie consulted with Dr. Cayden Stein, who was responsible for Kendrick's recovery training.
Cayden hesitated and dared not tell the truth.
Under the pressure from Natalie, he admitted that Kendrick's exercises were too intense during his recovery training.
But having been warned in advance, Cayden dared not tell Natalie that Kendrick used a pair of hand rings and forced himself to stand up with his waist strength.
Natalie suppressed her anger and said to Cayden, "If he doesn't follow the recovery plan again, just tell me."
She gritted her teeth and thought, "Does he dare not listen to me?"
Cayden nodded. "Okay, okay."
Natalie did not appear in Kendrick's ward later, and after her recovery, she went back home directly.
On one hand, she was angry at herself for having indulging Kendrick. She responded to his every request and did as he wished, which made him more absurd.
On the other hand, she wanted to give some time and space for each other to think.
Natalie was very relieved now. She got the bracelet back. She didn't need to keep the secret that it had been her who did the surgery and let Kendrick make his own choice.
...
Kendrick had stayed up almost all night.
He leaned against the headboard and pondered for a long time.
He had never suffered violent mood swings before. He had been like a machine without emotions or emotional burdens.
But now he felt he was being loved so deeply that he was not sure if he could repay it.
He thought, "She didn't look well at that time. She must have been worried about my recovery and overworked. I saw an acupuncture scar on her leg. She must have tried acupuncture personally. For this operation, she has read so many boring and sophisticated books and translated English documents."
The memories rushed toward him and overwhelmed him.
Since Kendrick's parents passed away, no one had cared about him to this extreme in the past twenty years, except her.
He was confused and uncertain, wondering what he had that was worth her deep love.
However, Kendrick quickly found that Natalie really seemed to want to ignore him.
She didn't send him any messages or tended to visit him.
When the nurse told her about his condition, she merely said she got it.
"Nat, are you really angry?" He couldn't help but think.
This was the first time Kendrick faced this situation. In the past, no matter what happened, Nat had not been angry with him and was always tolerant with him.
He thought, "It should be because of my reckless behavior in the operating room that day, which might cause infection of the wound or the entire surgery in vain. So she got angry."
For the first time, Kendrick had a sleepless night.
