Chapter 161 Kendrick Is Mean
With a "ding" sound, the elevator door closed.
Natalie smelled a lady's perfume in the elevator, which should have been left by the woman just now.
She thought, "Why did she come to the top floor at this point?
Is she also here for Saul?"
Sadie covered her face and said, "That old witch slapped me indiscriminately, saying that I intentionally hurt Saul."
"It was an accident, Sadie!" Natalie comforted her, "Everything has been recorded by the surveillance camera, so don't worry."
"How could they be so arrogant and rude?" Sadie was angry, but she suddenly thought of another possibility.
She said in her heart, "Saul Williamson!
Is he a member of the Williamson family?"
She clutched Natalie's sleeve nervously. "Natalie, have I offended someone I shouldn't have this time?"
"Mr. Ramsey will handle it well. You're an employee of the Ramsey Group, so he will protect you." Natalie's voice was calm and firm.
After saying that, Natalie helped Sadie stop a taxi and watched her off.
She then returned to the hospital.
Looking at the building, she thought, "I really didn't expect it to be such a big deal.
The woman mentioned the Williamson family.
I remember that the Ramsey family controls the economic lifeline, while the Williamson family is a political family.
With the election of Ryland, the Williamson family has become even more prosperous in recent years."
Natalie sat downstairs and waited for a while. Although she didn't know how Kendrick was going to handle this matter, she speculated that a rational and calm person like him would definitely handle it well.
Suddenly, her cell phone rang.
It was a message from Kendrick.
[Kendrick: Saul's surgery has been completed. Go over and check the situation. I will be there soon.]
When it came to important matters, Kendrick was always rational.
Natalie took the elevator to Saul's ward.
There was a thick layer of plaster on his right arm. When Natalie came in, she even saw him taking a photo of it with his phone while saying, "What text should I add when I post it online?"
Seeing that, Natalie couldn't help but roast in her heart, "Well, he's really a simple-minded person.
Does he know how many people are involved in this incident?"
With that in mind, Natalie interrupted him, "How are you going to handle this matter?"
Saul was confused. "What else can I do? Rest in bed for recovery, of course!"
"I mean," Natalie paused and said, "are you going to hold to account?"
"No. I saw the live-stream device fall down, so I blocked it, or it would hit you both. It seemed like Sadie accidentally stepped on the line!" Saul didn't care much. "Will the company give me a reward for bravery?"
"Of course!" Natalie said, "All medical expenses will be covered by our department!"
"Okay. I need to take a leave. I won't be able to draw for about a month," said Saul as he leaned against the bed.
He seemed to be quite happy.
"Can you pour a glass of water for me?"
Natalie poured him a glass of warm water and handed it to him.
They were alone in the ward, and Saul grew bolder. He didn't take it over but said, "I can't lift my arms!"
Natalie was confused.
"What, do you even want her to feed you?"
As soon as Saul had finished speaking, a cold male voice sounded outside the door, mercilessly shattering his secret fancy thoughts.
He recognized the voice as belonging to the man who had reprimanded him in the morning.
Saul raised his left arm, took the glass of water, and turned his face to drink it himself.
Kendrick had come so promptly that Natalie could not help but suspect that he had been waiting outside for a long time only to humiliate Saul at this moment.
