Chapter 57 The Intimacy Between Kendrick and Natalie
After saying that, Natalie stopped talking.
As a wise person, she knew where to stop.
Nancy frowned and scolded, "Grace, you really are old and confused. The doctor says Dad cannot eat such food, so why did you prepare it for him? I think it's time for you to go home and take care of your grandchildren. Otherwise, we'll all be very worried if you are the one looking after Dad when we are away."
Grace had served Nancy wholeheartedly for many years, so she didn't expect her to be the first one to say such mean words.
She said with the grievance, "Mr. Seth also ate cassava and sweet potato congee the other morning, and nothing happened to him then. I really have no idea what's going on today. Did he not have a good rest last night?"
Nancy was furious. "Stop quibbling. You have made such a mistake more than once. The family doctor has emphasized the food to be avoided, but you kept making the same mistake. Pack your bags now and never come back. From now on, the kitchen chores will be left to Patricia and the others!"
Grace had worked at the Ramsey's mansion for more than 20 years, but she had never been so wronged.
She wiped her tears and said, "Mr. Seth, I have been in this family for nearly thirty years. You...You can't just drive me away like this!"
Seth frowned and was quite fidgety.
Nancy had taken a tough stand on this matter.
She left no leeway for Grace.
If Seth punished Grace lightly, he would lose his prestige in the Ramsey family, and then no one would be afraid of him in the future.
However, he knew that Grace could not be fired.
After all, she had worked for the Ramsay family for nearly 30 years, and no one knew his temper and preferences better than she did.
Natalie glanced sideways at Seth and saw the hesitation on his face.
Apparently, he was thinking about how to deal with it.
After thinking for a moment, Natalie came forward and took the glass from Seth's hand. Then she patted his heart for him and said softly with her lips pursed, "Grandpa, Grace is indeed aged, but she has also worked in this family for so many years, and no one knows your preferences better than her. Therefore, it's a bit too cruel to kick her out. How about this?"
She paused deliberately.
Seth looked at her. "Say it!"
Natalie continued, "Deduct Grace's performance bonus and 30% of her salary this month. Then, as Nancy has said, hand over the kitchen chores to Patricia and the others, and Grace will only be in charge of the overall arrangement."
Her words perfectly demonstrated her high EQ.
She not only complied with Seth's wishes, but she did not embarrass Nancy either.
After all, Nancy was now on her and Kendrick's side.
Natalie was quite confident that Seth would agree with her.
As she had expected, after Seth listened to her words, his face softened a lot. He took the out given by Natalie and said, "OK, just do as you said."
Then he pointed to Grace and said, "Don't make such mistakes again."
Natalie softly said, "Grandpa, you haven't had breakfast yet. How about some oatmeal?"
Seeing her smart look, Seth thought that she was very considerate, for she had guessed his mind. As a result, he nodded kindly and said, "OK."
Natalie raised her eyes and said, "Grace, make some oatmeal, and prepare two tablets of EPA for Grandpa to take with the meal. I'll go to the kitchen with you."
As she said this, her voice was no longer soft, but somewhat commanding.
Grace nodded in trepidation.
As Natalie passed Kendrick, the two of them met each other in the eye.
Natalie even winked at him.
"What's she planning to do?" Kendrick couldn't help but think.
...
After entering the kitchen, Grace began to cook the oatmeal.
Natalie ordered her, "Go and get a glass of sugar-free milk."
Grace was in a complicated mood. She turned her head, and when she saw Natalie's cold eyes, her heart trembled. She quickly lowered her head to get milk.
She poured the milk into a glass, placed two tablets of EPA on a lid, and put them all in a tray. After that, she said to Natalie, "The oatmeal will be okay in ten minutes."
