My Disabled CEO Stood up And Kissed Me novel Chapter 72

Chapter 72 Touching Her Head

"It has nothing to do with you, so don't bother yourself any further than necessary," Kendrick said quickly.

Natalie sighed once more. "Maggie gives a lot of herself to acting."

"You asked me once what I wanted to do," she yanked at his shirt again.

Kendrick was completely fixated on her.

"I can't possibly list everything I'd like to do, but one of the things I long for was seeing Maggie win the award for best actress."

"She's quite eloquent." Kendrick mulled over the idea in his head. Her words triggered his thoughts.

Natalie could occasionally be unreliable with minor details, but she was always calm under pressure.

She was respectful and kind, making it impossible for him to refuse.

Her once again modified his rules and bottom line, but he was willing to accept them.

He suspected that she would keep thinking about it if he didn't say yes.

Kendrick became less serious after that. "Well, about this..."

Natalie smiled, "Let's place a wager on it. If I lose, I'll make you a promise. But if you lose, you must promise me something."

He immediately looked forward to the game like a child.

"Are you sure you want to bet with me?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Let's play it fair and square. How about we bet it for a year?" Natalie said.

She extended her little finger toward him.

Kendrick pressed his little finger against hers.

Natalie couldn't stop laughing.

Kendrick looked at her wound for a moment before asking, "Does it still hurt?"

He tried his hardest not to hurt her, but he couldn't control his strength.

After all, he was a strong man.

Her childlike behavior irritated him, as she forgot she should never provoke a man.

Natalie said with a grin. "It doesn't hurt now since you dressed my wound."

Kendrick was at a loss for words.

She was sitting face to face with him, and they were close enough that he could touch her head as soon as he reached out.

He rubbed her hair and said, "You should probably go to bed."

When he touched Natalie, the electricity surged back through her, starting at the crown of her head and moving throughout her entire body.

She felt a warm, tingling sensation spread throughout her body.

Twice that night, she had been "electrocuted."

"He always seems to make up for his hurtful behavior by being nice to me afterward." she thought.

Natalie blushed, still feeling like a whistle was blowing frantically inside her.

She turned around but was surprised to find that she could only move her eyes. She nodded her head slowly to show that she was composed.

"Nighty-night!"

--

Maggie soon received a phone call from the brand with whom she collaborated.

They claimed that they would not be terminating the agreement, and what happened before was that the contract manager had given them incorrect information by mistake. Their agreement would remain in effect.

"That's all right. I'm relieved that this misunderstanding has been cleared up."

Maggie tried very hard to muster a cheerful expression.

After some contemplation, she hung up the phone and began to jump up and down in joy.

She realized her brother's decision meant she could continue acting.

"Well done, Natalie! I'm impressed by your ability to convince my brother! Since you can convince my stubborn brother, you officially become my hero! "Maggie thought to herself.

Maggie's excitement was too much to bear, so she immediately called Natalie to express her gratitude.

Natalie softly said, "Your brother believes it is too dangerous for you to continue working in the entertainment industry after seeing you being treated unfairly and nearly being injured. He wants you to come back home, where you'll be safe and comfortable."

Maggie lamented, "That's not news to me. He has always been there for me and encouraged me. I appreciate it very much, Natalie. You are amazing!"

"The entertainment industry is so complicated, so you must learn to protect yourself."
