Chapter 406 The Spy
Looking at Abbot's expectant expression, Colin smiled, and said, " It's fake."
Abbot was speechless.
At the same time, Faye woke up from a nightmare and was covered in a cold sweat. She stared at the ceiling and gasped for breath. After a long while, she finally calmed down. Then, she looked out the window with an expression that she had just survived a disaster.
At that point, the sky in Cocanel was already showing signs of dawn, and the light of the sun was faintly penetrating through the clouds.
Faye stared out the window in a trance and completely lost her thought to sleep.
She dreamed of Fanny just now, and Emmett, who was covered in blood.
It was half past seven in the morning.
Faye was sitting in the living room and eating her breakfast when Galen called her suddenly.
Faye picked up the phone and answered the call by saying, "Hello, Galen."
She couldn't tell whether Galen's tone was happy or she was confused. Galen said, "Ms. Nash, Mr. Newell from Y5 suddenly turned himself in at the police station."
Faye was stunned when she heard her. She reached out for a tissue and wiped the corner of her mouth, "What?"
Galen continued, "It's just happened today. Just now, there was news about the president of Y5 turning himself in at the police station and admitting all the charges."
Faye asked, "Are you sure?
Galen said firmly, "Yes, the police have also issued a statement to confirm it."
Faye found it suspicious but she didn't say much, "Well, okay. I got it."
Galen asked from the other end, "Is it time to ask Charlie to issue a written apology?"
Faye leaned on the seat and said, "Yes. Ask him to be more sincere."
Galen replied, "Understood."
After hanging up with Galen, Faye frowned.
She only met Edward yesterday, and she was very sure that Edward had absolutely no intention of turning himself in.
Edward even threatened her by saying, "When you take my career away, you take my life too."
How could someone like him, who loved money like his life and would do anything to keep a back door for himself, would turn himself in for no reason?
Seeing Faye's serious expression, Carlotta, who was sitting opposite her, pushed a small half glass of juice to her and said, "Is there something wrong in the office?"
Faye regained her senses and took a sip of the juice to ease Carlotta. She smiled and said, "It's nothing."
Carlotta said, "Remember to have a work-life balance."
Faye replied, "Um."
