My Fair Stunner novel Chapter 425

Chapter 425 Cousin-in-law

Seeing Emmett retching, Faye reached out to pat him on the back and stopped asking questions.

She knew there were a lot of evil things in the underground boxing ring. Fortunately, they had only scared him instead of torturing him. If Emmett had been injured or gone crazy, she would never forgive herself.

After Emmett had rested for half an hour, Faye and Colin took him to see a psychiatrist.

After the inspection, the psychiatrist looked at the three of them and said, "He is okay. You don't need to worry too much."

Faye asked, "Will he have a psychological shadow?"

The psychiatrist replied, "Yes, but it will gradually lessen over time."

Faye nodded and put her hands on Emmett's shoulders.

Coming out of the psychology department, Emmett looked sluggish. He tilted his head, leaned on Faye's shoulder, and asked, "Faye, did I scare you?"

If he had done so in the past, Faye would have pushed him away, but today, she felt sorry for him and said, "No."

Emmett said, "Don't worry, I'm strong. It won't give me a psychological shadow. I just can't bear it for the time being."

Faye nodded her head.

Emmett added, "I feel like I had watched a horror movie. I will be so scared that I can't sleep in the first few days, but I will forget about it over time."

Hearing him mention watching horror movies, Faye smiled, "You have been timid since childhood."

Emmett smiled too, but when he was about to say something more, a big hand suddenly grabbed his collar from behind and pulled him back.

When he turned around, Colin looked at him with a kind smile and said, "Come on, I will protect you."

Emmett was speechless.

Colin pretended to be serious and said, "The more scared you feel, the more you have to stay with someone who can give you a sense of security. Faye is too weak."

Emmett did not know what to say.

At the same time, Lance was squatting beside a flower bed in the hospital while smoking a cigarette, and Andy was standing by his side.

Lance took two puffs of the cigarette, looked up at Andy with red eyes, and asked, "Andy, do your wounds still hurt?"

Andy replied, "No."

Lance stretched his legs, took out a crumpled cigarette case from his pocket, knocked out one cigarette, handed it to Andy, and said, "Come on! Take one."

Seeing the cigarette he handed over, Andy took a step back and said, "No, thanks."

Lance was amused by his reaction and said, "It's OK that you don't want to smoke. Why are you dodging me?"

Andy replied with his usual expressionless look, "My injuries have not healed yet, so I don't want to help you rescue people anymore."

Lance had thought Andy was annoying when he had acted like this in the past. But now, he found he was interesting, so he said jokingly, "How could you say so? Am I such a heartless person in your eyes?"

Andy didn't speak. But when he glanced down at him, the look in his eyes was saying yes.
