Chapter 424 False Alarm
When Faye and Colin rushed to the ward next door, Emmett was curled up in the corner, not letting anyone approach him.
Lance stood still with red eyes. He opened his mouth several times but was unable to say a single word.
Andy stood behind him with a frown and said, "Don't get close to him."
Lance gritted his teeth and nodded.
Seeing this, the nurse hurriedly turned around and walked out. She was so anxious that she accidentally bumped into Faye at the door.
When Faye staggered, Colin pulled her into his arms.
The nurse said, "I'm sorry."
Colin said, "Never mind."
After the nurse left, Colin looked down at Faye.
She was staring at Emmett unblinkingly with her eyes full of pain and struggle.
Colin hugged her tightly and said, "Honey, don't worry. Emmett is just too scared. He will be fine."
Faye said blankly, "Why? Why has he become like this?"
She had witnessed a lot of evil things. But seeing Emmett like this made her feel unbearable.
Emmett was sitting in the corner. It would be fine if no one approached him, but as long as anyone took a step forward, he would yell like crazy.
After a while, the nurse who had just run out of the ward returned and said, "Pin him on the bed. I'll give him a sedative."
After the nurse finished speaking, she found that everyone else in the ward was looking at her in confusion, so she said anxiously, "Why are you staring at me? Pin him on the bed!"
Hearing her words, Colin realized what she meant first, so he let go of Faye, strode forward, and gave Andy a wink.
Andy took his hind and stepped forward with him.
When they pressed Emmett on the bed, the latter growled hysterically. Seeing this, Lance and Faye felt heartbroken.
Emmett was soon sedated with intravenous use of sedative drugs.
The nurse sighed, "Let him rest. I'll call the doctor over right away."
Lance said, "Nurse, he'll be fine, right?"
The nurse shook her head, "I don't know. The doctor will come later. You should ask her about it."
Lance said, "Thank you."
Shortly after the nurse left, a female doctor in her forties walked in.
