After Rebecca finished her words, she stared at Colin awkwardly.

Colin smirked, "Abbot thought you have feelings for him because you kissed him when you got drunk last time."

Rebecca suddenly blushed and stuttered, "I, I drank too much that day."

Colin said, "Abbot himself can drink like a fish, so he thought you were deliberately flirting with him."

Hearing this, Rebecca fell silent and lost her appetite. Abbot's departure made her feel like a carload of cash had left her.

After breakfast, Rebecca took Faye's hand and said worriedly, "How can I continue working with Abbot?"

Faye smiled lightly, "Don't worry. He is professional and can distinguish between business and private matters."

Rebecca said, "But it is embarrassing!"

Faye smiled, "Shoulda woulda coulda."

Rebecca sighed, "Life is too difficult."

Faye smiled, "Do you really have no feelings for him at all?"

Rebecca was not an Abbot, so her emotional intelligence was normal. After thinking for a while, she answered, "Not at all."

Faye grinned, "In the final analysis, it's Colin's fault. If he hadn't made such a joke, there would not have been such a huge misunderstanding. I will let him invite you two to a meal and give you a chance to make things clear to Abbot."

Rebecca nodded, "Faye, you must help me."

Faye replied, "You can count on me."

Carlotta and Jadon didn't show up until noon. Although the latter still had a low fever, he looked better than last night.

After they sat opposite Colin and Faye, Jadon took the initiative to say, "Carlotta and I are going to get the marriage certificate first. And then, we will take our time to choose a date for the wedding."

It was within Colin's expectations, so he said with a smile, "Congratulations."

Colin replied, "You're welcome."

Jadon said, "Carlotta and I will invite you guys to dinner when we get back."

Colin chuckled without ceremony, "Okay."

Jadon was still having a fever, so when Colin and Faye went back to Cocanel in the afternoon, Carlotta did not leave with them but chose to stay to take care of him.

On the way back, Faye kept silent.

Seeing this, Colin reached out to take her hand and said, "Don't worry, Aunt Carlotta will be happy."

Faye nodded, "I know."

Colin replied in a deep voice, "Jadon is a good man. I won't misjudge him."
