Chapter 479 The Expert Man Hunter
The text was sent by Lance.
Faye simply replied with the word "good" after reading it.
After putting away her phone, Faye began to dry her hair. She could see Colin from her side, who was leaning on the headboard and texting with his lips slightly pursed.
Faye didn't want Colin to know the matter between Blaine and Martha.
Even though Colin never said anything to her, Faye knew how he felt.
When Faye was drying her hair and thinking about how to handle that matter, Colin's mobile phone rang suddenly.
The next second, Colin answered the phone with a faint smile, "Hello, Mr. Carter."
Abbot said, "I need to ask you something serious."
Colin grinned and said, "Why suddenly being so serious?"
Abbot was smoking in his car with his window wound down and the cold wind was whirring into the car. He asked, "Colin, do you need a reason to fall for someone?"
Colin mocked, "Abbot, I can't stand you suddenly being so serious and literate."
Abbot took a deep breath over the other end of the phone and said, "Come on."
Hearing that, Colin tried to behave and smiled softly, "Why do you need a reason to fall for someone?
Abbot continued, "For example, you like Faye because she is the lifesaver of your childhood."
Colin replied, "We are an exceptional case."
Abbot was silent.
Colin knew what Abbot was thinking and said with a smile, "Most people fall in love with someone because of the spark that happens in a second. Then, their feeling grows deeper and deeper over time."
Rebecca's face flashed in Abbot's mind when he turned the steering wheel and he tightened his jaw.
He was wondering when did he start liking her.
Was it on the night when she forcibly kissed him on their business trip?
Or was it earlier than that?
After Colin finished speaking, he noticed that Abbot was silent. He teased, "Listen to me."
Abbot responded in a deep voice, "What?"
Colin knew Abbot's issue but didn't tell him, "Use your ability on doing business to pursue a girl. I can guarantee you will get what you want."
Abbot clenched the steering wheel tightly with one hand, took the cigarette from the corner of his lips with the other hand, and hold it between his fingers, "What if the other party doesn't like me?"
Hearing Abbot's words, Colin snorted and said, "It's rare that Mr. Carter has this kind of consciousness."
