Chapter 498 A Lofty Ideal
Shortly after Tiffany sent the message, the other party replied: Okay.
Looking at the message on the screen, Tiffany nonchalantly asked the ingratiating young man who was sitting beside her, "Which kind of person can keep a secret the best in the world?"
The young man didn't get Tiffany's implication and simply replied, "Tiffany, I can keep a secret well."
Tiffany chuckled and asked, "Can you do it better than a dead person?"
The young man was lost for words.
Jake turned around and returned to his clinic after seeing Tiffany off.
When he entered the clinic, two nurses at the reception greeted him smilingly, "Dr. Thomas."
Jake curled up his thin lips into a smile, strode to them two, put the check he had received from Tiffany just now on the desk, and pointed at a blank with one of his slender fingers, saying, "Fill in an amount of one million and then withdraw the money and distribute it to the employees in our clinic."
The two nurses had been working for Jake since he established this clinic. They exchanged a glance when they heard Jake's words, but none of them raise any questions. They only teased, "Dr. Thomas, did you sacrifice yourself to entertain Ms. Shaw to earn money for us?"
Jake chuckled, raised his hand, and gently knocked on their forehead, asking, "Am I that kind of person?"
The two nurses nodded.
Leaning against the desk, Jake chuckled. After a while, his smile was replaced by a serious look as he said, "Inform other employees that they don't need to work here from tomorrow on."
The two nurses who were joking had their smiles frozen on their faces when they heard Jake's words.
Jake slightly pressed his thin lips, took out a cigarette, held it unlit in his mouth, and said in a deep voice, "I want to go to another city to start a new life. You guys can also take this chance to change your job."
The two nurses stared at Jake without even blinking their eyes, thinking that he must be joking.
After confirming that Jake was telling them his inner thought, their eyes all got red.
"Dr. Thomas, did anything happen to our clinic?"
"Dr. Thomas, tell us if you have any problem. We can solve it together."
"Dr. Thomas, say something."
Among the nurses in Jake's clinic, except for those being forcibly arranged by Tiffany back then, other nurses were recruited by Jake right after they graduated from the university.
Moreover, most of them came from remote areas and didn't have a strong background.
These girls all have received kindness from Jake and each of them was grateful to him.
Bombarded by these questions from the two nurses, Jake took out a lighter to light up the cigarette in his mouth and teased, "I'm getting old. Can't I seize the day to find my Ms. Right? Do you want my family to have no offspring?"
